2015 is almost over and I would like to know from you guys what you learned in 2015 (make-up and beautywise ;))
I think I improved my way of doing my brows and I can finally do a nice gradient eye..but I still have to work on my winged liner :D what about you?

This year I was fully introduced to contouring and highlighting. I always loved the contoured/Kardashian look but I never knew how to do it or what the difference between contouring and bronzing was. Now I have a nice collection of bronzers and highlighters that I use everyday!

I focused more on skincare in 2015. I tried a few new products and improved my skincare routine :)

Loving this topic this year I took really good care of my hair I used to dye it every other week bleach blonde no less I washed my hair twice a day but this year I didn't dye my hair once I keep away from heat on my hair I only wash my hair every 3 or 4 days and the thing that really helped was I started using coconut oil and and olive oil and I really found a skincare routine that has been wonderful.

Definitely taking better care of my skin. I have rosacea and have been going for facials and it's worked wonders for me. It's a bit of a splurge, but I've cut back on my overall spending. Now, I don't need to use as much foundation as I used to. Really happy I started putting my skin first :)

My eyebrows. I feel like I finally learned how to not make them look too harsh but still full and natural. Also I bought my first beauty blender this year and it changed the way I do my foundation. I bought my first lipstick this year so I've been learning more how to perfect that. And I think learning how to apply blush/bronzer better as well:-) this years focus will be eyeliner/eyeshadow!!

I learned that keeping skin healthy and hydrated is more important! It helped me put less foundation on which lead to healthier and naturally glowy skin. I also learned that it's not how much product I own or how soon I can buy new products that makes me a makeup addict, but it's the actual different ways I can use the ones I already have. Not only new products have disappointed me which made me feel bad buying them, but it's also not all that different than what I already have... I learned to be happy and content with what I have and love it as each is special.

Great post! I'd have to say improving my skincare, things like switching from makeup wipes to cleansing oil, doing a double cleanse, using spf religiously, using an eye cream both day and night. Also changing up my makeup routine by using new products and techniques. I discovered the Hourglass ambient lighting powders which have been amazing and also the Bobbi Brown Creamy matte lipsticks which I love! Another product is the real techniques sponge which has changed the way my foundation looks!

What everybody learned that watches YouTube...extreme h&c, eyebrows that look too perfect to be attached to a face, and how to put on false lashes. Lol I'm half kidding only. I do use all of those techniques now but softened up to what I think is a more Justnatural version of beauty. I should honestly block YouTube on my phone though lol.

Oh and two things I learned on Beautylish that saved my skin! Incorporating oils into my routine and chemical exfoliants as opposed to the scrub I used to scrape layers of my face off with:) Thanks everyone for all your posts and advice over the past year. I know I'm forgetting a million little things you beautiful ladies have taught me! Especially about skincare! Which is helpful bc my skin is aging and it makes me so sad some days but then I remember I'm not the only person who isn't perfect and we all need help from time to time. I have a safe place where I'm not judged:)

Eyebrows! I feel like I finally have them the way I want (they have grown out so much too, so I use less product). They finally look natural vs way too overdrawn.
Lips are also something else I've gotten more into. I have gotten so much braver with colors than I ever have before.
And last thing would be skincare. I've always been into skincare, but I feel like I'm finally figuring out how to manage my awful dryness now...

It's definitely interesting to read these. It seems a lot of people are finally into skin care! It does make a big difference when you baby your skin :)
I'm like Livi learned to control impulse buys!
I also tried false eyelashes this year and I definitely learned you don't need a pair of eyelashes for every look! They're real fun but they're not a necessity.

I would say skincare also! And as Livi and Kitty mentionned, controlling my buys. I have so much and I really didnt buy much this year in comparison to the past.

I've learned how to do my brows (since I got them waxed) and am totally obsessed with doing them now - but who isn't? Lol.

Love this topic. <3
I learned a lot on taking care of my skin, what products work best for it, etc.
I also learned more about makeup and better ways to apply it, I feel way more confident on my makeup game then I did the year before.
So overall it's been a good year in that regard, I learned a lot. c:

2015 was probably my "glo up" year, especially with makeup. I learned how to over line my lips, how to match foundation, thread my eyebrows, achieve stiletto nails at home, highlighting, CAT EYE, experimented with colors. Most important thing though is how to take care of my skin and it has definitely come a long way.

I learned so much this year. I learned about myself, makeup techniques, and just learned about the world in general. I'd say the most important thing learned this year is self love and acceptance. I'm 14, an age where you feel the urge to fit in and try to look like everyone else. And, I did suffer because I tried to fit in. But though that experience I learned that it's important to be your own person. Everyone is beautiful in their own way❤️

Sorry if that wasn't makeup related, it's just more beauty and love related.

Great post! Love reading everyone's responses. What I learned in 2015...that going outside of the box is pretty fun. Wearing black lipstick is now just as common for me as wearing red and it looks pretty nice on me. I also learned to not be so hard on myself when my skin is causing my grief (heat rash caused me much havoc over the summer).

Love reading this thread! 2015 was the year I REALLY delved into the art of makeup. I learned that researching a product before deciding to purchase it and reading reviews about it, especially by those with the same skin type as mine, really really helped me control my impulse buys and made me love every single product in my collection. I learned to be braver with my lipsticks and go for colors other than nudes, and also how to contour (still trying to perfect it). But I think the most important thing I've learned was that makeup can give you the confidence to love and enhance your natural beauty rather than just want to cover it all up.
Merry Christmas everyone! I love this community :)

I've learned how to use my makeup brushes! I've had quite a few for sometime but never used them. I do still use my fingers to apply makeup but see the difference brushes make when I have the time. Merry Christmas all!
