Stella has some great foundation but for some sad reason they don't carry it anymore at Sephora anymore.

I like the tarte amazonian clay foundation. It's matte and you don't need a lot of product for good coverage. They sell it at Sephora and Ulta for around $40

Depends on the coverage, finish you're looking for.
From MAC I really like their Studio Fix (powder), Studio Fix Fluid and the Pro Longwear nourishing waterproof foundation.
I also like the Cover Fx custom cover drops,
From the drugstore the L'orèal true match super blendable liquid foundation, the L'orèal pro matte and the Maybelline fit me matte and Poreless are good.
If you want more of a light-medium coverage then the studio fix powder, L'orèal true match and custom core drops (although this can go to full coverage easily) would be good.
The powder is matte, the true match is fairly matte too.
The rest are all medium buildable I'd say.
The only ones that are quite matte are the studio fix fluid and the infallible pro matte.
The pro Longwear nourishing waterproof and the Maybelline have more of a semi-matte finish.
It'll all come down to preference, price range and even shade selection because certain ones may not have a certain shade or undertone.

Estée Lauder Double Wear, medium to full coverage, long wearing, and doesn't break down from skin's oils.

I think the Urban Decay Naked Skin might be nice. It's a natural/demi matte finish but is definitely oil controlling and makes sure things don't slip too much throughout the day :)

Too Face Born This Way has been great for me. I can put in on in a pinch with my fingers and not set it and it looks like my skin but better. I can also carefully apply with a brush and set it for a super flawless finish.

Double Wear! Estée Lauder. And I don't know if you care but this makeup doesn't transfer. I absolutely hate when I see someone hug someone and then see make up on that person shirt from the other person. Lol. It's longevity is amazing. I can workout and have it still look great.
