Colour Correctors with lipstick?

Hey guys ^^ I have a question about colour correctors.
as far as I know, I need to use red colour correctors to cover up dark circles. I don't have any colour correctors atm, so I was just wondering, can I use red lipstick as a colour corrector?
sorry if it sounds stupid haha xx

Can I dab a little red lipstick and cover it up with foundation or bb cream? would it work?

I've heard people do that and some have great results. Only tip I would give you is don't overdo the lipstick but you absolutely can use it. Put a concealer or foundation on it to cover the redness. I think b cream is too light.

Depends on the depth of your skin color as well as your undertone.

If you're more on the lighter to medium side then using a red color by itself will cause a good amount of pink/redness even after you apply concealer SO, you want to mix the red lipstick with your concealer to get a sort of salmon color.
The lighter (in color) the area you are trying to color correct, the less, full on red you'd need.

If you have a medium dark to deep complexion then you can use red by itself and then apply concealer on top.

Now, the red color works best on those with pink to red undertones.

If you're a more yellow toned person then orange is a better option as won't cause that slight pink tinge under the eyes that tends to stand out when the rest of your face is more yellow.

Using a foundation or BB cream may not have enough pigment to cover the color-corrector. It better to use a thin layer of a fuller coverage concealer over the color correcter rather than pilling on layers of foundation and BB cream to try and cover up the excess warmth which can end up resulting in a cakey look or a good amount of creasing

You can try it as like an emergency but I wouldn't recommend putting lipstick on your eyes because there are a lot of chemicals in lipstick and if they get in your eyes then you could damage them - so I wouldn't recommend doing it every day - it's not worth risking hurting your eyes.

There's so many color correctors on the market now that really I think you should just get a color corrector. NYX is an affordable brand with color correcting products.

TBH, I prefer using lipsticks since they're more pigmented than most color correctors.
When it comes to those, the shades are generally too light so having a full on red or orange is more handy cause you can use it on a good amount of different skintones.
Plus, there really isn't a need to just keep adding more products when you can multi task with certain things.

You're only applying a small amount.
The formulas of lipsticks are quite similar to a cream foundation.
Wax, oils, pigment and preservatives.
The only thing that should be noted is certain red pigments you should be cautious about because some people may be sensitive to them.
And I wouldn't recommend putting them on the eyelids since they tend to be more sensitive.
