Alright my beautylish babies I am in need of some assistance/advice/your lovelies input on my problem. Recently I went on the tremendous nightmare of an adventure to find a foundation that is perfect for me. As my skin is very sensitive and I was looking for a full coverage foundation that wouldn't break my poor face out I stumble across the Loreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation. I tried sooooo many others and couldn't believe this was the one that seemed to be the most perfectly suiting my needs. Almost perfect... Here's the problem guys.. I am dying for a dewy radiant finish to my skin!! I've been doing a little research on my own and have purchased a few liquid illuminators to possibly infuse my foundation with some nice shine and sheen. I'm curious what you ladies would do?? Perhaps mix an illuminator in with my foundation? Or use it as a base under my foundation? Maybe an illuminating powder? How would you beauties tackle this issue?

Well...it is one of my favorite foundations too...what I do to make it look less flat and dry is to mix a drop or two of mac prep and prime essential oils and it looks a lot better. just be careful if you have sensitive skin..you may not tolerate it...and after that I use mac shaping powder lightsweep which has a subtle sheen. And to finish I use a highlighter. all of this gives a subtle result and not something too extreme...

Moisturise like crazy as well :) something very emollient based, the sheen should come through :) I use Benefit and Becca illuminators

You could definitely add an illuminator. I second Hailey that it can mess with the formula so test it out first and if all else fails dab it over the top as a highlight. cover fx just came out with some illuminator drops (at my sephora, they may have been out for a while, my sephora is inside jc penny so the selection is preeetty limited and things usually come later) and I'm fond of their corrector drops.
you could also try mixing in an oil like rosehip, jojoba, argan, whatever works for your skin. tha will mess with the formula too so it's a hit and miss if it will still wear well you'll have to test some combinations
Loreal just came out with a dewy version of that in the past couple months and I just picked it up today and plan on testing it out tomorrow. it may be worth trying rather than investing in more products to fix the original matte.

I tried the new Loreal foundation and it oxidizes on me horribly. I definitely moisturize a bunch. I just saw the new cover fx drops and I wanna try them sooooo badly!! I have a few liquid illuminator a I currently have two NYX illuminators macs strobe cream and I want to give the Loreal Lumi primer a try. And ladies with any other suggestions? Perhaps your favorite liquid illuminator?

From the drugstore my favorites are Loreal lumi in the rectangular tube and the Revlon one in a similar package. the Revlon one in bare lights is more subtle than the Loreal one I have.
from higher end I like nars cococabana liquid illuminator and beccas shimmering skin perfector in liquid. I want to get my hands on Kevin aucoins sooooo bad!

Start with MAC Strobe Cream for moisturizer. Then mix some BECCA illuminator in with the foundation. Use a cream highlight- like Nars Copacabana on the tops of your cheekbones. Use a setting spray instead of powdering your entire face. Only powder the t-zone and use a very light hand.

Illuminator share nice but I feel like I have to use a lot to get that look I want.

I prefer a couple of drops of oil of your choice.
You can add a couple of drops to the foundation and use it all over your face or separate it. Squeeze out like half the amount you normally do, apply to areas you want to be matte.
Then, squeeze out the other half and add a drop or two of oil and apply where to want more of a glow.
Since this product is quite matte/long wearing a small amount of oil won't effect the wear(much, if at all) or coverage just the finish.
