My skin was both dry and dehydrated. I have treated the dryness but not I want to hydrate it.

Can you please advise my products for that? thanks!

You need to drink water for the dehydration and wet your face.

Wetting the face is proven not to help. It just attracts the water out of the skin. Drinking more will help ok, but it's not enough. I need something to really boost that hydration up.

Wetting my face helps me. I can't really tell you certain products because I don't need hydration because I have it but I would maybe use a serum?

I suggest maybe using Olay night cream.

I would suggest using a hydration mask like the glam glow one? also followed with a good moisturizer! hope that helps xx

I fine glam glow to be too expensive for what it is. I don't mind splurging, but I'm not sure glam glow lives up to the hype... I have a good moisturizer, which helps with my dryness and I'm not willing to change it. I already use the ANR serum. I live in a cold and dry country and it's not enough. Any ideas?

What products are you using Nathalie? And what is your budget? Is there something specifically you are looking for? What are you willing to change?

I'm willing to change everything if I believe the new solution is better. Budget is not limited however I live in Europe and not everything is available easily. I'm using oil (the Indie Lee you advised, I got it for xmas and love it sofar), Kiehl's Rosa Artica (only moisturizer which has helped, it's thick like butter), ANR, Glycolic eye cream from MB (I hate it, tell me if you have recommendations, I need anti aging for very dry skin), and retinol from La Roche Posay (didn't like that one, thank God the tube is almost finished. It doesn't really absorb into the skin and leaves orange residues all over my face).

As cleanser I use Lanc?me Cr?me Mousse Confort for dry skin. I would not mind to change this, it's ok but not spectacular. I don't have a good toner, so recommendations are welcome.

I usually don't get blemishes, but I do get small bumps under the skin, milia in the crease of the chin and under the eyes, blackheads on the nose and redness on the cheeks due to vitiligo.

I like the Clinique Moisture Surge Thirsty Relief GeL/cream. So moisterizing, cooling & refreshing. There are no actives , no anti aging ingredients, no sunscreen in it. Just moisture. There are 3 different Moisture Surge Creams. I prefer the Thirsty Relief over the original. Haven't tried the INTENSE yet, I hear it's more like a lotion/cream as opposed to the other 2 , which are gel/creams.

I also like Moisture Facial Mists. I have the Tatcha one & the Pixi one. Haven't tried the Clinique one...yet.

Also, wanted to ask what cleanser & foundation are you using.

Hi Marleen, I use the cleanser mentioned above and either skin foundation by bobbi or healthy mix serum by bourjois. Most days I do not wear foundation though. I do own clinique moisture surge, I guess the original. I didn't think about it for some reason. Pixi and Tatcha aren't available here. Do you know any other brands that make mists? I already put on so much on my face, I would prefer a mist over a cream...

Just off the top of my head, because I have it sitting on desk at work. The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist. The bottle says ON-CALL MOISTURE AND VITAMIN E PROTECTION.

Apply sweet almond oil under your moisturiser.

There so many facial mists out in the market, esp. Sephora. But honestly, I'm so picky about fragrance, and I dislike most of the facial sprays I've tried. I don't even like the Tatcha scent, but it's so moisterizing, I tolerate it. The Pixi & Body Shop ones have a pleasant light scent. Gonna
start looking for more drugstore sprays since drugstores seem to really step up their game with skincare & makeup. I like a balmy cleanser or an oil cleanser over a cream cleanser. I like Burt Bees Orange Essence Cleanser, smells amazing and doesn't strip your skin. I let a friend try it and she didn't like it because she said she felt like it left a film on her skin. I don't know what she's talking about. I think she's just used to that squeaky clean feel. I also love the Bobbitt Brown Cleansing oil, smells fresh but pricey. I hear that Burt Bees now has a cleansing oil, I'm planning on trying it n soon. I think exfoliation is important but not too much. It can actually make the problem worse. 2-3 times a week should be enough. I use a scrubby exfoliate twice a week and on the days I don't use it, I use a mild, calming, exfoliating toner.

Try Cerave products. Drugstore prices but work phenomenal! The hydrating cleanser and moisture cream works amazing! I'm a dry, dehydrated skin girl as well!!

Genevieve, I would love to, but I'm not sure where to get that in Europe...

Marleen, thanks, I'll have a look. Regarding exfoliation, I do only chemical.

Can someone please let me know which ingredients I should search for in a hydrating product?

I highly recommend you sleep with a humidifier. You will be misted to sleep every night-just make sure you keep it clean by dumping any remaining water and letting it dry. It will really help. For ingredients, look for Hyaluronic Acid and ceramics. Try CeraVe night cream.

Paula's choice makes a fantastic moisturizing mask that you can wear over night. I top mine with the fresh seaberry oil. I too struggle with dry dehydrated skin.
