Ladies I've been stuck. I'm 19 years of age and I was wondering when would you start using anti ageing products? I've heard many things like anti ageing products arnt good for the skin too early and others say they actually work in order to prevent ageing, wrinkles etc. What do you ladies think? Is it too early or not,? If it's not what products would you recommend. Thanks heaps.

I have always heard that around 25 is when you should slowly get into anti ageing products. At your age the most important this in the "anti ageing process" is to use a good hydrating eye cream :)
I'm 28 and I slovely started to intoduce anti ageing products from the age of 24 - And even now I don't use heavy duty anti ageing but anti ageing for my skin type :)

I'm 19 (almost 20) and I started using skincare products when I was 18. I read from a lot of sources and asked people who were knowledgeable in this area. from a majority of what I gathered, it is better to start earlier than later. one phrase they always used was that prevention is better than a cure. I know girls who started using these products when they were 15. I've noticed huge improvements in my own skin since I've started. sorry if this is a little long, it's just that I'm really passionate about skincare :)
I have sensitive skin. through trial and error, I have found that clinique, nuetrogena, and dove work the best on my skin.

I'd say it depends on your skin type. If your skin is dry, it's going to age quicker and it's okay to start earlier. If you're oily, using anti-aging products might not be as beneficial as it focuses on hydration in heavier doses. But as others have mentioned, if you wish to start, start with areas that age first, like the eyes.

I've also heard when you are around 25 you should really focus on anti ageing products. I started when I was 25 (I'm now nearly 27). I think the main things to use at your age is sunscreen! Always wear it throughout the year. Also using hydrating products and never tug the skin around your eyes, especially when removing makeup!

I started too late with eye cream, about two years ago. Now I'm 30 and I see some wrinkles start under my eyes. If it was to do again I would start around 23.

My philosophy is more aligned with Sharon's. While anti-aging products are great they can be too heavy for young skin types. In regards to ingredients that is. I'm 41 years old and dabbled in anti aging when my skin was much younger and found it too rich for my oily/combo skin. Now the same products I tried years ago are now perfect for me. The most important thing out the gate is focusing on prevention. Such as a moisturizing SPF above 30 and an antioxidant serum. Eyes especially are the most neglected area on the face followed by the neck. So a hydrating eye cream is definitely a must.

I quite like the hydrating one by Bobbi Brown and the all about eyes rich by Clinique.

The best anti aging you can do right now is sunscreen everyday. face, neck, ears, chest and the back of your hands. I didn't start anti aging products until I was 28.

It definitely doesn't hurt to have a healthy skincare regimen no matter what age (: I've been keeping my face out of the sun, washing my makeup off every night before bed, using a mild facial cleanser, a hydrant, undereye cream, & moisturizer everyday for the past year now and my skin looks way better now than it did before. I can't stress enough how important it is to not sleep in your makeup and avoid sun exposure!!
