I need advise on how to maintain my hair extensions... They get tangled all the time. At this point I'm hating them!

I probably treat my hair extensions better than my own hair (which isn't saying too much lol). Just get into certain habits and it will become second nature to you. With these solutions, I do not consider the extra time I need for prepping, cleaning, maintaining, or putting in/taking out my extensions to be very long or annoying at all! What kind of extensions do you have, clip ins? Where did you get them or what kind of hair are they?
-I do conditioning treatments to my extensions just the way I would do to my real hair.
-My extensions always get tangled at the nape of my neck (where the back of my shirt lays on my back/neck, so I always keep that area brushed, because if I don't, it will tangle with even more hair.
-Every time I take my extensions out, I brush them before I set them aside (each weft separately, then the whole bunch together), and I brush each weft before I put it back in my hair the next time.
-Use gentle products on them, I use gentle products for my real hair since it is bleached (though the extensions themselves have not gone through bleaching), I wash them and style them with the same products as I do my delicate real hair.
-I do use "it's a 10" leave in and/or argan oil on my extensions after I wash them and I am prepping them to be laid out or blown dry.
-find a storage solution that works for you. Mine are in pretty good shape so I either take them out and lie them flat one on top of the other, or I fold each weft in thirds and put them in a bunch and wrap a pony tail holder around the top, or I put them in a bunch (same neat prep as previous solution) and I braid the bunch and put elastics on either side. I have seen other DIY methods on the internet such as hanging them from a ribbin on a hanger, etc. Just find what works best for them.
