There are much worse things that could happen.. It just gets discouraging when I've been searching for a routine for months..since I turned 26 my skin took a turn for the worse and I developed acne on my checks and jawline..no changes in diet,exercise,stress..I'm sick of buying and trying.. Higher end to drugstore.. Nothing is working.. I can't afford to keep throwing away money.. if you can relate to my situation.advice/suggestions are much appreciated :)

Also was wondering if anyone has tired Murad.. I've read good things but I've bought products that had rave reviews and no results.

I'm sorry you had a bad reaction to benzoyl peroxide. that's what saved my skin. Epiduo has a low dosage of that and another ingredient. all I can tell you is stay strong, I know how you feel. Visit your physician, mines gave me a prescription for epiduo. Best of luck to you!

I would try Neutrogena, the oil free range (orange) are absolutely amazing, it is the only brand I have found that gives me clear skin. In England it's quite cheap two for £5. I'm not sure on the ingredients, so it's worth a check.

Love murad, it's great!! I personally love it.. And my Clarisonic. It's expensive I know, but worth it. Deepest clean you'll ever feel, it's like a daily facial!! You will probably break out worse when you start using it but this will clear up and you're skin will look incredible. Also those little $2 masks at Ulta by Jennesse Montague or something? Are great!! Clean up Mud and the fruit antioxidant ones clean your pores out soooo well!! Hope this helps xo

Thanks Lauren! Do you think the clarisonic is comparable to less expensive "imitation" brushes?

Visit a dermatologist, they will be able to work with you to find something that works, I went to on and they gave me a prescription that finally cleared my skin, and with insurance and coupons they gave me, it didn't end up actually costing that much... Good luck

I have the whole acne murad line and love it! My top three are the skin perfecting lotion, the clarifying cleanser and the acne spot treatment. My acne is almost gone... Also I use the clarisonic with acne brush head which is an amazing investment

What saved me was peel-off face masks. Pulled all of the impurities right off

Honestly, dermatologists are great. You get a facial for the price of a copay and mine gives tons of samples. I rarely buy soap or fill a prescription. My face used to be BAD. I hated just walking out the door. But I will say I had to go through a few drs to find the right one.

Definitely visit your dermatologist! I have pretty bad acne and I'm currently using Differin and it works quite well!

My skin used to be terrible. I did go to the dermatologist and they put me on things that were just ok but only helped for a little. Over there years I know for sure that a few things are guaranteed and that's how much water you drink. What your putting on your face and what your eating. Also taking vitamins is important. Supplements like biotin and evening primrose are good for the skin as well as hair and nails. Just keep at it every day and give some of these products time, you might face a serous breakout before your face really clears up. Best wishes!

Helps with acne pimples dead skin and prevents wrinkles:) and don't forget drink lots of water try not to use so much makeup wash your face daily:)

Bridget, I actually own the Olay version ($30) and find it works nicely! Only thing is it's not as large and not as much of a deep clean. Although, if its in your price range I'd definitely purchase it! It still works much better than your hands or a washcloth :)

A prescription Retin-A is a good bet. I've used it for a couple years along with another anti-bacterial-type prescription, and it's worked great! Good luck. (:

Oil cleansing meathod worked for me!. I used to buy whatever i saw advertised that might work for my skin. Murad and proactive among them. Mayb for sensitive skin murad is good but it did nothing for me. I like their moisturizer tho. Anyway i recommend u try out the oil cleanzing meathod b4 wasting anymore money. And take a zinc supplement. Also dairy can causd acne in some people so try to cut that out of ur diet and see how ur skin reacts. :) dont give up, it has to pass eventually

Ask your dr to test your hormone levels- very related to skin clarity.
