Have you tried Clinique?

How long have you been using the Clarisonic? It takes a while to seem effective. For what it's worth, your skin doesn't look bad to me!

Keep trying it! I would advise giving the clinique a try!

Have you thought about starting to use an oil as a moisturizer? I started using maracuja oil about a month ago and I've seen a pretty big improvement in my skin since I started using it. I never used to think that oil would be good for acne but it seems to have really evened mine out. I don't break out as bad anymore and I wake up with soft, non-oily skin. You don't have to use maracuja but I really like it.

I use Murad's Clarifying Cleanser-- it has salicylic acid in it, and it continues to release it after you rinse. I use it in conjunction with either Philosophy's Purity or Cetaphil and my Olay Pro-X (I am obsessive about my face washing). With the products you've used, both cleansers and the stuff your derm has given you, how long did you use them? It can take a while for your skin to react to new products and if you switch things up often, your skin might freak out and the cycle will just continue. Most of the topical creams that you get from the dermatologist will be very drying, so you've got to moisturize religiously or your skin will just produce more oil to compensate, and blah blah blah more problems. There are lots of great oil free moisturizers, I'd recommend Cetaphil or CeraVe because they're very bland and aren't irritating. I agree that beauty counters can often times seem like they're just trying to get their numbers up rather than actually help you with your skin care issues, but I've heard good things about the Clinique system so it may be worth a go as well. Best of luck to you :)

It literally changed my skin. I am acne prone normally, with PanOxyl I never get zits. I couldn't live without it. Sometimes stores sell out of it so I always keep a back up.

If you do end up using it, please comment me and tell me how you like it and if it works for you.

Best thing you can do is go to an esthetician & explain your concerns with your skin. Only they will know how to best treat your skin. Never self-diagnose yourself. The only person who can give you good advice about your skin is a SKINCARE PROFESSIONAL. So go see one before you completely damage your skin & cause even more acne/breakouts and other things!

I had problems with breakouts for years, and tried so many different cleansers with no results. It may not work for everyone, but I found that my problem virtually disappeared when I stopped using cleanser altogether. All I use now is water, and moisturiser - but not every day.

I am an esthetician, remember that even oily skin needs hydration. your skin will produce more oil if you are dry to compensate for lack of oil. get a good water based moisturizer and make an appointment to have a facial with your esheetician. she will help the most

I have the same issue, my biggest problem is since nothing is working I'm constantly on the hunt for new products and changing them which is ruining the ph levels. The one thing that has worked is the Boisca line from sephora. It's gentle but has stopped the oil production which reduced my acne. ( try the purifying cleansing gel they have the trial size that comes with everything and lasts a long time)

I have also had a constant battle with acne throughout my life. What ultimately helped me was getting prescription medications. Cleansers and topical products can help a little, but acne can come from the inside of the skin, which requires more than topical treatments. I have found a combination of a couple prescriptions that has worked miracles for me. If you can't find a topical routine that helps, I would suggest considering getting some medication! That's what's worked best for me! (:
