The first product I wanted to mention is my eyeliner. I’m wearing the Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Liner in the shade “Kush.” Now, a few of you know me and know that I am not at all a fan of winged liner on myself. I don’t feel that I have the proper eye shape to really pull it off. However, with liquid liner products, I feel that the best way to test out precision is either a wing or a really graphic look, and since I’m at work today, I felt that a wing would be best. So, Kush is a beautiful green shade, reminiscent of their older liquid liner (the kind that used to come in a sort of inkwell packaging) in the shade Acid Rain, which was by far one of my favorite shades from that line. Now, as far as the packaging goes, I really enjoy how sleek it is, and I like that the handle is the shade of the liner, so it makes for easy grabbing; you always know what color you have. Brush-wise, the brush is very thin and easy to work with; it does really well at precise line work. I had absolutely no cleanup this morning, and it took me all of 2 minutes to actually get my liner done. The formula is also really nice. It doesn’t feel too runny, and it only took one swipe to get full color payoff. No need to backtrack or build up the color; it was already fully pigmented with one brush against my eye. All in all, I really like this product. If wings are your thing, and you want to experiment with color, or if you don’t like felt tipped applicators, this would be great for you. It dries down really quickly and doesn’t smudge or flake. I’ve had it on for about 4 hours now, and it’s still perfect. I may purchase more of these in the future.
The second product I wanted to talk about is what I have on my face, which is the Urban Decay One &
Done Complexion Perfector. This, I am not impressed with. It’s supposedly a product that will “blur imperfections and even skin tone.” I don’t find that it did that. I had to add a lot of concealer over this product in order to get the sort of coverage that I wanted on a few blemishes. With just the One & Done, there was no change in the color or obviousness of my blemishes; they were still red and stood out from the rest of my skin like crazy. I will say, however, that the color match is really nice. The formula feels nice on my face, but it doesn’t do what I wanted it to do, by any stretch. If you have nothing major to perfect, skin wise, I’d recommend this, as it’s a really easy, throw-and-go kind of product that will add a really sheer layer of coverage to your skin. Mine happens to be a sample sized pod, so I haven’t spent my money on it (which I feel would be a waste, for me personally), so I’ll use it when my skin calms down. However, since it provides no correction for any more obvious skin problems, I’ll skip it in the future.
For the rest of my face, I used:
-Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden (this is too light to look right on my skin; I can only use it when I’m doing a full face or wearing a lot of eyeshadow that will cover it, otherwise I look like I got a bad sunglass tan)
-L’oreal Voluminous Mascara Primer (I like this a lot! It does give a ton of volume, which is really nice, and it has a slightly more wet formula which I happen to prefer)
-Perfekt Lash Perfection Gel (my HG mascara, will repurchase forever. It’s super black, and has a nourishing formula that’s good for your lashes unlike many other mascara formulas. It also has a nice, skinny wand that’s not only great for separation and length, but great for the bottom lashes as well. I cannot recommend this mascara enough, it is absolutely amazing. It doesn’t smear, smudge or flake, even after the gym)
-Cle De Peau Concealer (my HG. I threw away my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in favor of this product, which I feel works better and requires less effort. Since it’s in stick form, I use my finger for application, which warms it up and blends it out nicely with minimal effort. I currently use a sample size that has lasted for several months, which is astounding, but leads me to believe that I’d really get my moneys’ worth were I to buy the full size version, which I plan to do as soon as my sample runs out)
-Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Mannequin (now, hear me out. I bought this way before any of his most recent drama, I do not support him, nor will I be buying anything else of his line in the future. As far as this particular shade goes, it’s actually a really great MLBB shade for me, since it’s literally the color of my lips. However, I purchased this on June 18th, and after less than two months it smells absolutely revolting. The rest of the formula is fine, applies smoothly, hasn’t changed color or texture. Fortunately, when it dries down the smell goes away, so it won’t prevent me from using it, but seriously, if you’re going to charge me $18 for a lipstick, it better not go bad in less than two months; that’s simply absurd. So, add that to the list of reasons not to pick up any more of his products.)
Anyway, as always, questions, comments, suggestions, opinions are all welcome, I hope y’all are having a fabulous day, and I hope this was in some way helpful for you!

That liner color is gorgeous on you. makes your brown eyes pop. and the lip color is beautiful.

Thank you, Kim! Oddly enough, my eyes aren't actually brown; green eye products just make them appear that way =)

That liner!! Oh you make me wanna step out of my comfort zone and do bright liner!
Its such a shame you didn't like the One and Done, its my favorite everyday product! I feel like it evens out my skin perfectly, blurs lines and pores in a very natural way and it lets my freckles peak through perfectly! I agree that it is a product you use if you don't want to or don't have much to cover because the coverage is very sheer! When I want a bit more coverage a will set it with a bit of powder :)
But you look gorgeous as always!

Thanks! I'm always about the bright colors so if you end up doing bright liner at some point let me know! I'm glad you like the One & Done, Sabi! It's just not for me, I have a few spots that just did not want to be covered by it, and it didn't seem to play nicely with my concealer either, which sucks. I actually recently got the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light and it's super perfect for what I want, which is about medium coverage that still looks like skin.

I agree it's a finicky product! it doesn't play nice with most primers and also with some concealers haha! But I don't mind the hassle so much because I love the look and feel of it!
Uh I didn't actually know EL had a lighter version of the double wear! Is it like a bb cream or still a foundation?
Aug 8, 2016
Hannah K.
It's still a foundation, I don't know if I have a photo of me wearing it yet or not, but this is it: http://www.sephora.com/double-wear-light-stay-in-place-makeup-spf-10-P378286?skuId=1465053&icid2=products%20grid:p378286 It's medium coverage and feels so nice on, where I find that the regular Double Wear can look/feel very heavy, as it is full coverage. The Light version covers everything that I need it to, though, with minimal concealer usage!

Sounds like an awesome product!

I'm a huge fan, honestly. My little sister and I bought that, and a Beauty Blender (!!) for me when we were on vacation together. She was talking to me about how much she loves foundation and how she never feels like she's completely put together without it, so I figured I'd give it another shot. I do use it way more often now than I used to!

Woah! I'm used to seeing you with big colorful looks. To me, big color is your signature. I don't know anyone that is as fearless as you when it comes to pairing bold colors. ;) I always like your signature colors and looks, but I must say, I really really really like the look you posted here today. I feel like I'm seeing Hannah instead of being immediately drawn to the bold colors you use. I really love the simplicity of the liner and how it really compliments your Hazel eyes. Your skin looks great, and I love seeing brows that aren't overdrawn and filled in to the point of them looking stenciled on. Everything just flows with this look and I really dig it. You look GORGEOUS!!
Aug 8, 2016
Hannah K.
Aw thanks Jackie!! That means a lot. I can never give up color completely, but I can tone it down ;) besides, it's super hard to do big, fancy colorful looks when I now have two puppies that need constant attention. I plan to grab this liner in a bunch of shades, since I'm also digging the simple look, and it's just a really nice product, in my opinion.
Also, as far as my brows go...I just haven't gotten them waxed in a while! That was completely unintentional haha but they're getting a little groomed in a few days.

Ugh I have the UD primer potion in Eden and I used to love it but I'm definitely making the switch to a paint pot, lol.
I'm really interested in the mascara primer so I'm glad you liked it 😁 and that lip color is gorgeous on you!!

I do really like the formula, just the color doesn't work on me on it's own, and that's not something I want to deal with all the time. It's just one of those little sample pods, but it has lasted me actual months at this point, which is crazy! I don't like the paint pots as primers, I find they crease, but over primers, as color bases they work really well!
I'm a HUGE fan of mascara primers in general! My lashes aren't that impressive, so mascara primers take them to a whole other level of thickness and length. I definitely recommend the L'oreal one if you're in the market for one on the cheaper side; it's really quite good.

I love UD liners. Their 24/7 glide on pencil liners are amazing, so I'll have to check out their liquid liners
Aug 8, 2016
Hannah K.
Their pencil eyeliners are some of the only ones I use! I have every color they've ever made. These liquid liners are WAY better than their last attempt at liquid liners (which was pitiful, in my opinion), but just as good as their original liquid liners from like 2010, I definitely recommend you check them out =)

You look beautiful! I really love that liner on you and your skin looks good!
I really wanted some Jeffree lipsticks but after all that mess happened I'm going to say I just missed the boat.

Thanks Taylor! Honestly I don't think you're missing much, so don't feel bad about it :)

Meagan M.
I really like it! They liner is so neutral. You could literally wear it anywhere or at any time and it would work! Thanks for the first impressions! :)
Aug 9, 2016
Hannah K.
Anytime, Meagan! I actually wore this to work yesterday, but I have a really laid back office and if anything they dig my wild makeup. This is definitely a great color for anyone who wants a look on the more subtle side of weird, haha.

I love this you definitely can pull off a wing imo your eyes look so sparkly with that green tho! and even the jeffree star is a nut case that color was definitely made for your skin tone it's so hard finding the right nude if your not exactly on the pale range of color nor on the dark I have that problem with nude lipstick and foundation especially in the summer months I might have to check maniquin out you make it look bomb!
Aug 9, 2016
Hannah K.
Aw, thank you Danica! I know what you mean about nude lips when you're not really on either end of the spectrum, it's so hard finding flattering shades! This is actually a really good one. When it becomes fully unusable I'm going to have a hell of a time duping it effectively, I think.
Also, thanks for your thoughts on the wing! I just feel that wings look better on people with more almond shaped eyes, whereas mine are pretty round
Aug 9, 2016
Kelly V.
That liner is pretty. your eyes are shaped similar to mine and I always have a hard time with winged liner! I find my crease goes down too far and is too heavy so I can never find the proper placement of the wing. I may have to give that liner a shot though.
