Hi beauties
I was wondering why do you have to use a sulfate free shampoo after a keratin treatment?

Thank you Hailey for telling me , also if I do an oil trearment overnight I can't use a sulfate shampoo right? so I have to avoid oil masks?

I would suggest not to oil your hair at all instead you can use a deep conditioning treatment or a hair mask and sulfate free shampoo is necessary because it won't strip the keratin like other normal shampoo. since keratin is just a coating to the hair the less you shampoo your hair the more your keratin will last longer.

Is it okay to use silicone on the hair? cause masks are full of keratin?
thank you for the answer

Call me crazy, but I've never come across any information to suggest that sulfates (at least the ones that have any business being in your skin/hair care) are functionally that different from other surfactant ingredients.

What do you mean Leuca?

Cleansing agents in general all work similarly on the hair shaft except for particularly harsh ones like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, so simply calling something sulfate free doesn't mean it won't strip color/keratin/etc.

Oh okay! so like maybe a low poo would do?

Shampooing less often, or using dry shampoos can help prolong treatments that are affected by surfactants, but you may not be comfortable with the feel of your hair. Trial and error.

Ok thank you so much!
