I applied my Smashbox primer on my cheeks and nose and my Hourglass primer all over my face with my fingers. I dotted on my foundation and blended with the Sigma F80. I applied my concealer under my eyes in a triangle, down the nose, and the Cupid's bow and blended with the Beauty Blender Micro Mini. I applied my bronzer to my cheeks and forehead with the ELF Small Stipple Brush. I set under my eyes with the RT Setting Brush and the rest of my face with the Danielle Powder Brush. I contoured my cheekbones with the Morphe E8, applied blush to my cheeks with the Danielle Blush Brush, and applied my highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones, down the nose, and the Cupid's bow with the RT Fan Brush. I lightly misted my face with the setting spray.

I lightly filled in my brows with the pencil and set them with the gel.

I applied and blended a little bit of the paint pot onto my lids with my finger. I applied the eyeshadow onto the lid and into the crease with the RT Base Shadow Brush and onto the lower lash line with the MAC 219. I applied my highlighter to my brow bone and inner corner with the ELF Defining Eye Brush. I applied my NYX liner to my tight line and the Sephora liner to my waterline. I applied one coat of mascara to my bottom lashes and two on the top.

I applied my lip color straight from the tube.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

-MUFE Ultra HD Foundation: I'm not a fan of this foundation. It's not full coverage and while it does look good on camera I don't like how it looks in real life, it exaggerated any kind of texture on my skin. It did blend really easily but that's about the only good thing I have to say about it. I probably won't use it again.

-MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot: This was oddly dry and made my eyelids look really dry as well. However my eyeshadow applied well over it and didn't cling to or look dry so that's good. I'll have to see if it creases or not.

-MUFE Artist Shadow: I thought this eyeshadow was going to be a lot more pigmented than it was. I did about 3 layers of shadow to get it to look as opaque as it does but it looks pretty!

-Sephora Contour Eye Pencil: Very pigmented when I swatched it on my hand but zero pigment when I tried to put it in my waterline. I don't know if it's just because this isn't supposed to be used in the waterline or something but I was disappointed so I probably won't get much use out of it.

-Urban Decay Perversion Mascara: After not liking anything else I had used so far I was happily surprised that I liked this mascara! Very black, separating, and lengthening. I would wear this if I was doing a simple/natural look since it doesn't give me the same kind of volume and drama that my Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof does but it's still a great mascara!

-Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector: This isn't actually my first time using it but I'll give you my impression of it anyways from when I did first use it. This is a lovely color with more punch to it than my NYX Illuminator but somehow I was still expecting more from it. I think because when I see other people use it they use a thicker/denser brush which applies more product and makes it look out of this world, which really isn't what I'm looking for but still what I expected. I really do love it, though!

-MUFE Artist Rouge Lipstick: Very pigmented and very comfortable for a matte lipstick, it's nice a creamy with a matte finish. I would definitely suggest this if you like matte lipsticks but don't like how dry they are on your lips.

-Boscia White Charcoal Mattifying Makeup Setting Spray: This smelled really nice and it felt nice on the skin, not drying or anything. The bottle says its pore minimizing but I didn't see much of a difference there. I'll have to see how well it helps my makeup hold up throughout the day but so far I like it!

I really like the UD Perversion Mascara, as you said, it's perfect for a natural look. It makes my eyelashes to look slightly better in everything (volume, length and curl). And so far it's the one I've found it's the best for applying more coats since it does not clump.

I haven't tried the new MUFE foundation but the original formula is terrible. It felt heavy, accentuated every pore and fine line (I'm 23, it's not like I have many but made me look older) and in 5min I looked like a grease ball. The color match is great but definitely not worthy. Maybe a lighter application could help but IMO it's not worth it. Does the new formula makes the skin oily??

Thanks!

Aurora S.

I really love that lipstick color! Gonna have to try it out sometime.

As far as the MUFE Ultra HD, did you buff it in?
I find that particular foundation works best if you dot it on your face then use your brush to press in/stipple the product on and it'll still look skin-like but buffing it in tends to really sheer it out. I ended up using 3-4 layers when I applied it by buffing it in whereas when I stippled/pressed it on with a flat top kabuki I only needed 1-2 layers
It definitely get soaked up and sheered down a lot by beauty blenders so I wouldn't recommend using one with that.

I hope it works for you as far as oil control because on me it didn't hold up as I thought it would. Although compared to the original formula I always looked shiny whereas the Ultra HD I looked semi-matte initially but had to start blotting an powdering within 30 min

Lara, so far I'm not oily with the foundation but I'll definitely check in if/when I do notice I'm oily but even my aunt said that my skin looks textured with this foundation and that's my biggest issue with it.

Aurora, thank you! I did pat/stipple the foundation but I still couldn't get full coverage even after trying to build it up where I wanted more coverage.

I hear that the MUFE Artist shadows are more or less pigmented on a per-shade basis, but that they're all easy to work with once you get the desired pigment level. I haven't actually tried them myself; I'll probably grab some once I run out of my staple colors.

I feel like I can't be the only person who doesn't care for the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter formula. I have Moonstone as well and I just found that when I applied lightly I saw too much of the individual particles of shimmer, because the base doesn't seem to be inherently glowy like a Mac Extra Dimension Skinfinish or the Anastasia Illuminators. I can't seem to buff it out to my desired finish to look natural while still pigmented. My ABH Illuminator in Starlight blows Moonstone out of the water for my preferences. Do you recommend applying it more generously and buffing it in less? I would like to make it work, as it's expensive enough for me to regret purchasing at this point.

Leuca, I'd be open to trying more shades from their line just to get an overall feel of their pigmentation.

I apply Moonstone with a fan brush so I'm not picking up as much product as other brushes, like a tapered face brush for example. I do two swirls and really tap off the excess before putting the brush to my skin so I'm getting a nice glow that's not overpowering because of extra product.

Super disappointing you didn't really like the foundation! I apply it with my beauty blender and I do love the way it looks. Although I only use it when I'm going out/will be taking photos. I feel like it's not an everyday foundation, for me at least lol.

I love the perversion mascara. I'm so happy I got another sample in my Play box because I really love it.

How has the paint pot held up?? I haven't gotten around to getting to Mac yet but I am definitely going to pick it up, eventually.

Dana, it looked beautiful on camera while I was filming a video but I don't like how it looks on real life and that's mostly what I don't like about it.

So far so good with the paint pot, no creasing!

Also, quick oil update! I'm still pretty matte, no need for me to blot at all at the moment.

I tried that foundation today as well...and every flaw stuck out in it. Wasn't impressed.

Mary, glad I'm not the only one!
