Hey there, I was looking for some opinions on the abh glow kits, are they worth the money? Are they as pigmented as people say they are and also which one is your favourite? I would love to buy one but I don't know which one and I want to see if they're worth it! Any pictures would be good too, thank you! 💜

I have the Moonchild kit and I'm not a fan. It's just a major glitter bomb that emphasizes all texture on your skin. I made the mistake of looking in the mirror when I was sitting in traffic one day in the sun and I straight up looked like Edward Cullen. The wear time is also pretty bad. After about 2 hours the color is gone and all that's left is glitter. 👎

The shades are pretty though so I guess there's that. xD

Aw thank you! And I don't have any stores that sell it as I'm in the You.K. So I have to buy online

I have had an amazing experience with my Moonchild Palette, but I do approach application a bit differently. The base is a duochrome, but there is some fine shimmer/glitter that you can essentially buff away to leave the duochrome glow finish. When I buff them in with another brush with finishing powder I find they wear just like my staple highlighters in terms of lasting power and I can eliminate any of the obvious shimmer.

The Moonchild Palette is a different formula than the standard Glow Kits, but the Glow kits tend to have variances in how much shimmer/glitter is in each shade anyway. If you enjoy buffing in your highlight with a finish powder+brush (my preferred technique almost regardless of what powder highlight I'm using), I think you'll have a lot of fun with them.

Maybe you could share a swatch of your technique, Leuca? I tried it out myself and the swatch almost completely disappeared. All that was left was the glitter particles and a hint of color.

For me the formulation just does not equal the price tag. There are much better highlighters out there for less. But that's just my opinion and to each their own. :)

Swatch is of purple horseshoe. Left is with flash right is without. Brush used was a BD #944

I cannot seem to find lighting that will work with my phone's camera, but I'll attach a few images where I show the reflective finish I'm left with after buffing in with the application brush, and then going over with a finishing powder.

For reference, I'm applying and doing the primary buffing with a Real Techniques Setting Brush (semi dense, textured synthetic bristles) followed by quick dust over with the Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Glow Powder (pretty much translucent, but not as drying as a pure silica powder like MUFE HD) applied with a Real Techniques Multipurpose Brush (less dense, slightly softer, bigger brush head. Any larger, fluffy brush you enjoy should work.)

These are a bit powdery, and there are indeed glitter particles that you will need to work around. I find Blue Horseshoe to be the primary offender. That one needs to be picked up and tapped off quite a bit, so that you are only getting the duochrome base (or at least mostly), before going in. The others I find much less obnoxious.

Again, my camera is not picking up what I see in person. Going down you have Blue Horseshoe, Star, Blue Ice, Blue Moon, Lucky Clover, Pink Heart

Trying to get them together. I apologize for so many posts, but the format won't let you attach multiple photos.

Thanks for the swatches. I'll have to give that a try then.
