Anastasia deep purple eyeshadow allergy?

Hi ladies! I believe I'm allergic to Anastasia Beverly Hills deep purple eyeshadow. Help! My eyelids were swollen and left with a medium pink shadow even after removing makeup. Can you ladies help me sort out what is happening with my eyes? Has anyone had this experience before with Anastasia or other eyeshadows?

I haven't tried that product but I have much experience with allergies. First step is to take a Benadryl (or equivalent allergy meds), you can buy it at any drug store if you don't have any. Then wash your face COMPLETELY with a soap you've used before and know you won't react too. If it hurts, putting a cool cloth on it should help. Then trash the product and wait it out. If you eye doesn't stop swelling within the next 24 hours contact your doctor! In the future, avoid similar products (unless you've used them before). If you really want to be sure, you could even contact an allergist to get tested for an allergy to makeup ingredients. Chances are you're allergic to something in the product.

I haven't had this issue with Anastasia, but this has happened to me anytime I used an Almay product (their makeup remover was the worst for me, their other stuff just caused itchiness and irritation). Now I would definitely stop using it and maybe test it on your wrist to see if it causes issues there too. I think its probably just an allergy to it. I would take a benadryl later (obviously make sure you don't have anything to do because it might make you drowsy). Make sure you completely removed the product and I wouldn't add any other product over (no lotions or anything either). If its still bad or gets worse I would definitely go see an eye doctor but I think its probably just an allergy to the eyeshadow.

I often have this happen with blues and purples, so I'm very limited to brands in that shade range, sugarpill shadows do not irritate my eyes what so ever they have a few purples that are just the best most pigmented out there, kvd purples are okay as well and concrete minerals purples don't irritate my eyes either. I'm a huge mac lover but there blues especially just tear up my eyes, itchy watery and feel like rocks are in them. I suggest the brands I listed above but sugarpill is my #1 choice for purple and blue (:

Thank you so much ladies! I think it's the purple and as much as I love it I won't be using it from the palette. The swollen eyelids disappeared with the pink shade as well. It was obvious bc even my colleague noticed something was up with my eyes. Thank you again for the recommendations.

Oh my, I have with too face eyeshaow they itch my eyes really bad. And Nyx eyeshadows burns my eyes.

Allergies can be strange. For instance, I can't use anything by Benefit because every product from face to eye to lip gives me an allergic reaction. I'm glad your issue cleared up, but it is a bummer that you can't use the shade you purchased.
