Making your own would be cheaper but I think the Impressions one with a dimmer an and outlet would be a great investment. I would just spend $250.

If you're able to DIY it and the dimmer & outlet aren't that important to you, then I say DIY. If those are things that would really be helpful to you, then invest. $150 is quite a spike in price if those other things aren't high on your need/want/useful list.

True. I really like the idea of the dimmer and outlet but honestly I've never even had a regular lighted mirror so I have no idea how useful it will be to me. I'm also kinda worried about the quality of the lighting if I diy. Another thing about the Impressions one is that I would be able to move out with it easily in a few years because I won't have it mounted on a wall. They're both a lot of money, so I don't want to make the mistake of diying it and always feel like I'm missing out or splurge and feel like I should have saved the money.

I agree with Erica. $150 is a lot more. With that money, you could get a lot of other things for your vanity or whatever! but again, the dimmer and outlet do seem pretty cool so if that's something you are interested in, invest! like you said, you could use it in the future years to come. it really depends on what you need. if you don't need the dimmer and outlet, I would just save the $150 and splurge on makeup lol. that's just me though (;
