Do you have yellow nails and think there is something wrong with them? Do you think they need to "breathe" or that they are gross??
Well, friends, I am here to tell you that it is a MYTH that yellow nails are bad. The only reason your nail may be yellow is that they've been stained by excessive polish use. Yellow nails are not harmful and buffing/bleaching them only makes the issue worse because it weakens your nails. Using a base coat may prolong the time you spend without yellow nails, but if you use polish a lot, you're going to get yellow nails. Accept it. There is nothing wrong with them and they are inevitable. You can now sleep easy knowing there is nothing wrong with you.??

Well.. I guess.. but it could also be because of what is called "yellow nail syndrome" or infections and bacteria buildup or that something could be wrong with you medically like diabetes or liver, lung, heart, and kidney conditions.

Most of us I hope know nails don't breathe and aren't bad, the thing is that doesn't make them look any better. I still wish for a magic fix because it sucks for nail art enthusiasts you.you.

I agree with Sarah, most of the time it's harmless but be careful and watch the nails color. If it changes noticeably to to a doctor. Yellow nails can be the first sign or a symptom of many illnesses, and can even be the first body part to go jaundice. As long as you watch it and it doesn't get worse or change it should be fine though.
