I've seen mixed things on the Internet. Anyone have personal feelings about if this has positive or negative effects on the skin? Improving my skin is not the reason I will be taking it but I was just wondering about this.

Omega with epa and dha are great for your skin with its fatty acids. it's great for people who have eczema or skin issues. it also supports cardiovascular health. The recommended dosage is 1000mg a day. I personally take a supplement everyday and I've noticed a small difference so far. (I've been taking it for about 3 months). with supplements you usually won't notice a difference until about 3-6 months of continuous use. I personally think Omegas are great for your overall health and they have very little risk unless you're allergic to fish. My doctor has always suggested to take an omega 3 and probiotic everyday to maintain good health and skin. Of course consult a doctor if you're thinking about taking a supplement. :)

They do have amazing side effects for the skin! Although I must respectfully disagree with Shauna, they are not that great for health if you have high cholesterol or if it's something that runs in your family. I took fish supplements for awhile to help with my dry skin and when I did my annual my levels came back high and I had to discontinue use of it. I would check with a doctor before taking any supplements, especially combination pills.

Thanks for the replies! I have bad anxiety so I don't typically eat enough although when I do it is healthy for the most part. I'm supposed to be taking it for more omega 3s.

Omegas help maintain your current cholesterol levels so if you already have high cholesterol then it will keep it the same. but if you have low cholesterol it won't harm you. but of course it's best to get a medical exam to see if you should be talking a supplement.

My doctor didn't say anything about anything being too high and what not. He recommended the fish oil. So I think I should be okay. I eat healthy and exercise. And stay away from processed foods. Thanks for your help!
