Hey beauties!
I have had this problem off and on for a while now so I am turning to you for help!
I'll start off with my skin care routine and products:
In the morning, I often don't wash my face (to preserve the natural oils in my skin) though sometimes I will splash some water on it. If I do, I will put moisturizer on, and I am currently using Cliniques moisturizing gel. I don't love it.
At night, my routine really depends on my mood. Sometimes I will use makeup removing oil (Clean&Clear), but most of the time I will just wash my face twice (to make sure I remove every bit of makeup). Right now I am using anti-aging cleansing gel from Peter Thomas Roth. I got it in a sample bag from Sephora, but it's a big enough sample that it has lasted me a couple weeks already and it's not even half empty. Sometimes I will use my Clarisonic the second time I wash my face.
About once a week I will use nightly resurfacing pads from arbonne, and then I will use the same Clinique moisturizing gel. At night, I add about 5 drops of Tartes Maracuja oil to it.
So here's where things get real dry. In the afternoon/evening time, the areas around my nose and mouth get SUPER dry. And the skin flakes off and my makeup goes with it. I've even noticed that my under eye concealer is sticking to dry patches. It's now getting to the point that it's becoming so dry it's painful.
So! Any SUPER moisturizing night cream recommendations would be lovely! I'm ok going drugstore or high end, but I don't want to spend any more than $30.
I have tried:
Arbonne- loved it but too expensive
Fresh rose night cream- it was ok but also expensive
I forget the exact name but it was Nivea- I liked it, but it felt kinda greasy sometimes
Also, any other tips and tricks for dry skin, product recommendations, etc.would be lovely! Thank you!

I'm not a huge skincare person (just have a cleanser and facial lotion, along with a Luna mini). My question is why are you using the Clinique gel? I know they have a gel and a lotion option, and from what I was told is that the gel is for oily skin. May consider switching to the lotion formula. Or, I use the CeraVe moisturizing lotion and it immediately cleared up my dryness. I had tried a bunch of high end stuff and it was the only thing that worked. It's what my dermatologist recommended I believe the brand also offers a cream that should be just as good. It's affordable too.

Oh I was not aware there was a lotion option! I thought it was just the gel! Thank you, Shae-Lynn! I'm mostly using it because (even though I don't like it) I hate to throw away half used products or buy something new and have a bunch of half empty bottles lying around. It's getting emptier though so maybe I'll chuck it. Is that CeraVe brand American? I'm in Canada and often we don't have the same brands available

I would highly recommend the Cerave moisturizing cream if you're super dry but if you're just dry use their lotion which is still very moisturizing but more lightweight.
Their moisturizing cream is thicker and works better for my skin which tends to peel due to treatment.
Gel textured products are usually more geared toward oily skin in general.
CeraVe is a brand that's available at drugstores and is commonly recommended by dermatologists which is how I've heard of it

Get a facial mist spray like Jurlique rosewater or Evian to balance out your skin

I know I once confused the two myself. I know at Sephora I don't think they sold the lotion in store and I almost ended up getting the gel formula. And I get you, I need to start using up my current products haha But I definitely prefer the CeraVe stuff over Clinique. And you can find it pretty easily in Canada, found it at Walmart and Shoppers Drug Mart. I'm Canadian too ;)

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I just picked up the CeraVe moisturizing cream and lotion. I plan on using the cream at night with some face oil, and the lotion in the morning before makeup :) we will see how my skin reacts!
