So I've always hard normal to combination skin, my skin never really got dry and it wasn't oily. Recently my skin has been getting these really dry patches on my cheeks around my nose and around my eye area. It's so dry to the point when I put moisturizer on it burns.
Any suggestions on really hydrating skin care that won't hurt my face?

I am going through this exact thing right now. It blows. I have been adding face oil to my moisturizer at night, and to my primer before makeup in the morning. I've only been doing it for less than a week so I haven't noticed too much change so far, but it's not aggravating my skin. The reason my skin got dry in the first place was because I was using moisturizing gel, which is for oily skin which I didn't know. Some ladies here on BL suggested using CeraVe moisturizing lotion, or cream. The cream being heavier. I picked up both of those tonight so I haven't tried them yet, but I've heard good things! :)
