So I went white last year (almost exactly a year ago) and since then it's gotten a lot duller and more silver and I mean I don't hate it now but I liked it more white? Do you know why this happened? Or how I can fix it? Here's a pic from last year to now.

It wasn't really any certain time, I didn't even notice it until I went back and looked at my old pics. It was just over time it got darker

Do you use color safe hair products?

I don't use like hair "products" but like my shampoo is shimmer lights and that's just what I use to tone it and then conditioner is color safe

I don't actually have any color in my hair though. I mean it was toned and I tone it with my shimmer lights but it's just bleach

I agree with Hailey. Sometimes the shimmer lights can leave a silver tint on your hair, esp if your using it at every wash. Personally on blonde or gray clients I only use a drop of the shimmer lights mixed with a regular shampoo. (To prevent from looking silver) one time I touched my moms roots up (she's just about platinum blonde) and we washed with the shimmer lights and instantly she had silver roots lmao! She was flipped out but I know it would simply wash out. Like Hailey also mentioned above, we used a clarifying shampoo a couple times and it washed right out.

I agree with what Hailey and Kaitlyn said. You just have to be careful with clarifying shampoos because if your hair isn't in the best of shape from all the lightening you did to get to the white blonde, you can risk blowing your cuticle open which is extremely hard to close after. I would use a gentle clarifying shampoo, I know Paul Mitchell's Shampoo 2 is clarifying but more gentle than Shampoo 3. I would also use an every day shampoo that is sulfate free, while using your toning shampoo once in a while. Just a heads up though, purple cancels yellow tones while blue cancels orange tones. If you're trying to cancel orange/brassy tones with a purple shampoo, it won't do the trick

I agree with the above and I will also add that since you have just bleached your hair and didn't tone it with proper toner, you never properly closed that cuticle and since it could be open still it is more prone to breaking, drying out and looking dull. I would recommend doing a few clarifying washes, and then toning, or a bleach bath and then toning.

It was properly toned, I got it done at a salon by a professional who tones it when she bleaches it with like actual toner and stuff but I do use shimmer lights on it every time I shower to keep it matching my extensions or it goes too yellow for them bcuz they also have color buildup but yea I'm going to order some clarifying shampoo and I'll make sure to get a gentle one or something ^.^ thank you guys :)
