Hi
I have a small scar from an operation and suffer with discolouration on my body. some people advise bio oil and I'm just wondering whether it is actually worth the hype?

Bio oil actually has a lot of chemicals in it that can be harmful to your skin. I would recommend using a natural oil instead to help fade the scars. For discolouration, just make sure to exfoliate, moisturize, and wear sunscreen. Hope this helped!

I have used it..half bottle of it... didn't found any difference yet..but it's written on the bottle that you have to use it for 2 months regularly...
also it breaks me out..my skin type is oily

I agree with Appi! Coconut oil is magical! Bio oil is good however it's use is effective with some and not others (a bit inconsistent). Bio Oil I feel works on stretchies but When I used it on my face, it only broke me out! But everyone's different so you could test it out however coconut oil is probably the safer approach.

How about Vit E Oil?
