Sorry my phone went nuts, so we all have our favorite lines and brands etc.out there, but no matter what some companies just don't do it for me:
Lorac
Too Faced
Smash box
and Benefits
What are some brands that just don't WoW you beauties?
Thanks for your input (:

Nicole I'll be moving your thread to the beauty section since this is a great Beauty discussion. :)

I wasn't Wow by nyx eye Base, Tarte Amazonion clay foundation and Maybelline kohl kajal.Smash Box primers, smashbox oil primer which by the way shouldn't be called a primer it's more of a prep oil and way over priced for some oils you can purchase at a cheaper cost. I might be forgetting some other products lol :)

Your welcome Nicole :)
Yes jackie I forgot to mention bite lipstick.Bite lipstick doesn't Wow me either. Becca shadow's are ok but not mind blowing and the highlighters I swear are just Big pressed pigments sold to the masses. :)

Too Faced and Lorac have always left me disappointed because of the hype around them.

See I forgot Marc Jacobs too very un Wowed in fact the sleek makeup shadows are very similar to marc jacobs in texture and are actually more pigmented and more color variety

That's really good to know Nicole Thanks for sharing that info I'll need to look at sleek cosmetics and can anyone explain why the heck he has that HUGE bronzer? Lol that thing is crazy.

I don't get that either, maybe a lifetime supply haha it is way huge...Definitely check out sleek there shipping to the U.S is even cheaper then some US. retailers there shadows are amazing they don't budge, I remember when marc 1st came out with his makeup line I ran to sephora and bought one of those 69$ palettes so disappointed, but thought the texture reminded me so much of sleek swatched next to each other and couldn't believe it, the sleek palette runs about 11 US dollars which would be 6 to 1 mediocre overpriced palette

I don't own a lot of higher end brands, but I do own the Smashbox Smoke Box. and no matter what I do, I can't get the colors to blend. they always look patchy. so not impressed with Smashbox

I'm just not impressed with benefit, I don't even know why, I've only tried a few products and I think it must have something to do with how the products are marketed, they don't seem as "precious" as other high end products to me.

I agree about smashbox. Nothing I've tried wowed me. I'm not too fond of ysl either, I've tried the baby doll mascara and faux cills and both were a very dry formula that didn't do much for my lashes and not to mention they stink of shampoo! I really dislike fragrance in cosmetics but especially mascaras and foundations. The ysl ink foundation was disappointing too, too much alcohol in it and wasn't flattering on me in any way. Also Lancôme eye shadows are pretty poor quality in my opinion. They crease badly despite the use of a primer and the pigment is pretty subtle for what I want. Also Lancôme lipsticks are nothing special for the price. I do like their mascaras though and I used to like the teint idole foundation but I couldn't stand the scent so I gave it to my sister.

I agree with too faced and smash box - I originally liked too faced because the company as a whole is all about cruelty free products and other things that I love but every time I buy a product I'm just underwhelmed... Like I just don't love them - and with smashbox I haven't tried many products from them because I tried their lightweight primer and cc creams and both broke me out horribly - so I just stopped trying with them - same goes for MAC - as much as I want to love them I just can't because their stuff breaks me out like crazy - so those 3 are my least favorite high end brands in terms of products that I wish I could love but just can't

I can't hate on a brand if I like even just one product. But there are a couple of lines off the top of my head that don't offer ANYTHING I'm interested in. Not saying they are inferior products because I know a lot of people love them. Just saying, they don't suit my needs.
Sephora Brands only; Don't care for Kat Von D, Stila, Dior and Lancome.

Smashbox. I was very exited to try them but ended up very unimpressed. I've tried a few of there products and its just a no go for me.

I feel that brands and products which are in spotlight and mostly mentioned by social media and youtubers are the least effective and perhaps could be the worst in the brand. so to me there are no bad brand or useless brand.. its just what's being publicized... but in the last 3 years sleek has surprised me with everyth product I got from them.. be it eye shadows.. hightlighters.. face countor.. blush.. amazing! and you get an amazing payoff.

I've always been disappointed with benefit- they seem to put more effort into their cute packaging than the actual products, smashbox, nyx, and Revlon.

Smashbox - everything I was recommended gave me an allergic reaction
Algenist - ineffective and again with the allergies
Amore Pacific - over priced. Iope is a better option
Tarte
Too Faced
Lancome
Shiseido makeup - with the exception of their nourishing mascara base!
Tony Moly and any other drugstore Korean brand
Clinique
...
