I only apply primer and I know it's to make your make-up last a little bit longer. What's the moisturizer for? Does it affect how your make-up applies? Why do so many of you wear it?

My skin is normal to dry so I use moisturizer after I clean my face to keep it from getting dehydrated especially in the winter months. I just use a little BB cream then and setting powder. I have never used a primer but then again I never had a problem with my makeup not staying even after a long day at work.

Having a great moisturizer enables your makeup to be applied smoothly onto your skin. People with a normal skin who isnt prone to breaking out tends to JUST use a moisturizer as they dont need a primer to help glide makeup on easier. Plus moisturizers keep your skin hydrated all day long.

Moisturizer is part of your skincare. Primer is part of your make up. Everyone should use a moisturizer because it helps hydrate the skin and also does a lot of other things too like brightening or anti ageing depending on the moisturizer.

if youre choosing between one or the other always go with moisturizer. it is more essential and works to help prime your skin anyways. some primers are very moisturizing which is how youve prob been getting away not using moisturizer after cleansing without getting awful dry patches and scaliness.
