I've said it a million times, and I'll say it again: Leggings are NEVER an appropriate substitute for pants! Leggings are tights. Wear them as such!

leggings are not pants... but I'm guilty of wearing them as such, sometimes. If you wear a longer tunic-like top that covers your butt, like everyone else had said, I think thats fine, but I wouldn't rely on that look everyday. I do wear leggings as pants, but just if I'm running out to get gas or do drive-up banking-the kind of stuff people do in pajamas I guess.

I live in leggings. Leggings are basically the same thing as yogas pants. Just make sure the leggings are see through.

Why do people wear yoga pants outside of a yoga class? To me that is just as bad as wearing tights as pants--they are just as tight, just as unflattering, and definitely as prone to "camel toe" and cellulite visibility. :/ My university is packed with girls in too-tight pants, looking like hoochies. Yikes.

Leggings aren't pants and you most likely need to cover. Unless they're thick and ou can't see through them, if they are, you can wear them like pants!!

I say leggings are leggings.. I don't really think they are to flattering to wear with a hoody if you're a thick girl.. But if your butt looks good go for it.. How ever if its cutting off some other lady parts that don't need to be seen.. DO NOT WEAR THEM!! If you get what I mean :)

Its really up to you, if you think it looks cute then do it. I wear them like pants but I wear a long shirt that covers my but so I dont because I think it looks cuter and so I dont have to worry about getting cameltoe.

depends if theyre see through or not.. if you dont know stretch em out and hold um up to a light.. if you can see the light coming through, wear a longer shirt :)

So if 'fat' people can't wear yoga pants and can't wear leggings what are they supposed to wear? Because we are fat we don't deserve to be comfortable some days? We should just wear full spanx and jeans because skinny people don't like to look at us? That's ridiculous!
Yes some bigger girls don't know how to wear leggings properly but I've seen skinny girls with cameltoe and see through leggings too.
Some people don't have $80 to spend on 1 pair of plus size jeans.
I wear jeans most of the time but I'm pregnant and I'm not about to go buy $80 jeans I will wear for 3 months so I wear yoga pants.
