Is benzoyl peroxide good? I heard it gets rid of acne but burns/bleachs your skin.

I've used it for years and it has really helped with acne. Some people are allergic to it though so you might want to test it on a patch of skin first if you haven't tried it before. But it really does it job. It helps shrink the pimples and get rid of them. It does sting a little but it hasn't bleached my skin.

my friend uses it before bed and it bleached her pillow case. I've also been told to keep it away from your eyebrows because it can bleach the hair. just be careful with it.

I recently went to the dermatologist and she told me that salicylic acid is better than benzoyl peroxide because it's not as harsh on the skin.
