I am really white and i never were shorts because i feel like i can blind someone. People always tells me i have the whitest skin they ever seen and i hate it. I have tryed laying out in the sun and i had to stop because it got cold and school.. So i was thinking about going to the tanning bed for about 10 times and get a glow and then do the rest at my house.

tanning beds are far worse on your skin than the sun, especially if you're extremely pale, like me. Your natural skin colour is what looks best on you! But if you really want to be tan, try getting a cheap foundation only a shade or two darker than your skin tone, and mix it with a gentle lotion and use it where ever on your body!

DO NOT use a tanning bed. Being in a bed for 10 minutes is the equivalent of being out all day in the sun without sunscreen. It increases your risk of wrinkles, sun spots, redness due to sun damage, and worst of all, skin cancer. The UV rays are just not worth it. If you dislike being pale, find a sunless tanner that works for you (whether it's spray tan or at home).

I had the same issue for years. People always told me I was way to white and I always felt uncomfortable wearing shorts. I tanned for a bit but actually I missed how white my skin was. It's unique and I honestly learned to accept my paleness and embrace it rather than try to change who I am and not to mention waste hundreds of dollars on a tanning bed. If you're that uncomfortable try a good self tanner, tanner beds are icky, sticky, time consuming and not to mention expensive!

Don't conform, tanning is soooooo bad for you embrace your natural pale skin it's coming back in style I promise, tanning beds are 12 times stronger than the actual sun and that "glowing tan" is your bodies response to sun damage by producing more melanin. That sun damage can cause cancer, premature aging such as wrinkles an age spots and sagging skin. You may think only going once or twice won't hurt but it will!

Noooooo. Don't use a tanning bed! I have before and regret it. My brother died at 31 years old from melanoma...not from a tanning bed as he never used one....but it is still a giant risk! I stay out of the sun and use SPF and definitely stay away from tanning beds. Id rather be pale and alive. Sorry for the story but after that I try to warn people because the risk is very, very real
