I have normal skin, usually it isn't too dry or oily. Recently on my nose and T area my skin has become dry and flaky... I have tried putting on lotion several times a day but it always comes back... Any help?

Coconut oil clogs pores. I don't recommend it.

Some people actually have no problem with coconut oil on their face.. But I exfoliate with a rough cloth, then I use a moisturizing foaming water then a deep moisturizing face lotion. My skin has been the same as yours, but I have to exfoliate like that twice a week.

My nose does this, like all the time and I have oily skin. go figure! I found the clarisonic helps keep the peeling away. I moisturize with maracuja oil and apply liberally to my nose. in the winter time I top that off with first aid beauty's ultra repair cream.

I agree with Kelly. That maracuja oil does magic on flaky spots. The PTR oilless oil is great for that too:)

It's very possible your skin is dehydrated. Normal, dry, combo, oily are skin types and dehydration is a skin condition. A skin type is what you're born with, it can be managed but not changed. a skin condition is caused by external factors and usually cause other problems to be experienced. Dry skin lacks oil, dehydrated skin lacks water & can create more oil to make up for the lack of water. Dehydration can be caused by many things including anything you have topically applied, the weather, pollutants.. be aware of these things and drink more water and protect your skin from environmental factors with a barrier cream ( I use Dermalogica)

When my skin gets super dry I go have either microdermabrasion or a chemical peel. If my bank account isn't feeling that, (haha) I use sugar and honey as a face scrub. Those two ingredients are supposed to cause the least reactions on sensitive skin. And it leaves my skin feeling like a baby's butt!

I guess sometimes oily skin is your skin over reacting to being dry. Oiling can help. I have peeling on my nose, and I am going to derm next as its making me crazy. Will let you know what they say.
