So, I am recovering from my horrible acne journey I ad about 2 yearsago, but I still have scars. I went to my doctor and she prescibed Hydrocortisone, but I want something natural. any help?

Hydrocortisone the itch cream? For scars? I'd try something like Shea or cocoa butter. Alot of people love bio-oil got scars but I'm not sure if it can be used on the face. Vitamin E is known to help with scars too.

A vitamin c serum will definitely clear them up. However, any "natural" remedies can be quite harsh for your skin, some don't even do anything but waste your time. Also, I don't know why your derm prescribed hydrocortisone for acne scars. I've never heard of that before. Definitely check out a vitamin c serum.

Yes, bio oil works, only some people can't use it on their skin. If you try it, patch test first.

Hydrocortisone helps address pigmentation issues and is actually commonly prescribed. It is often used in conjunction with with Retinol cream and Hydroquinone. Unfortunately, long term use of cortisone thins skin...so it's certainly not something I would use extensively. I know that peels are incredibly effective for acne scarring. Since you are looking for a natural approach, I agree that Vitamin C serum is a great place to start. Look for one that has ascorbic acid as the active ingredient.

I'd recommend using a broad spectrum sunscreen as well to keep scars from darkening.
