I think I'm allergic to the bite agave lip mask. Actually, I'm certain there's some ingredient in there that's making my lips inflammed. it's been a few days & my lips are still chapped, hurting & on fire. my usual go to products are no help (aquaphor, smith's rosebud, plain old chapstick brand). Anybody have any suggestions??

It might be the Lanolin. That is the first ingredient on the list and its what gave me a horrible reaction. That lip mask turned my lips black. The pain was completely unbearable. Cracked, bleeding lips...and felt like they were on fire as well. I tried all the above that you listed and no dice. What worked for me was using Lypsyl (original formula) lip balm. Then I started using SkinCeuticals Lip Antioxidant ans topped it off with either La Mer lip balm or Nivea lip butter. That combination saved my lips because the next step was using some steroid based prescription cream to deal with the hyperpigmentation that I was experiencing. Then the most disappointing thing happened when I reached out to Bite sharing my experience and asking that in the future if they could bring out a formula without the lanolin. No response to my email...nothing. And I had friend who had some photos featuring Bite products hijacked by Bite...they used them on their IG page and didn't even give her credit once people started complaining. No response to that situation either. Out of disgust I threw out all my Bite lippies. And have zero regret.

I also forgot to add...do not use any lip balms that contain lanolin or lanolin esters. Your lips are ultra sensitive so its best to go lanolin free.

Ladies, I hate knowing that y'all are having a bad reaction to the Bite Lip Mask. The lip mask hasn't bother me at all but the new lip treatment they have I can not use. I'm disappointed to know that the company hasn't responded to y'all inquiries.

Its pretty bad Barbara. For me to throw away over $200 worth of lippies out of sheer disgust is pretty major. And I've seen on some of their social media pages where other gals had the same issue and they too reached out to Bite...received same...no response. I've since found better alternatives and my lips are much happier now. :)
