The dreadful day has arrived...and no not that. I have not posted in quite a while since school, social life, and laziness has taken over so I thought why not bother people with my problems?
Anyway, I am have a dilemma (not really but I tend to over exaggerated A LOT) and it involves high school...yay. I have my freshman orientation on Wednesday the 25th and I am freaking out more than I should. See, my problem is I have nothing to wear, I don't know what to wear, and I'm considering not going at all. So I need your loves help, on basically everything. If you can post pictures below of outfits, hair, makeup even nail ideas that would be absolutely amazing. If it helps, I am looking for something casual-formal (open to wearing a dress) and with a little hipster-edge-grunge twist...I have a weird clothing taste I know.

Anyway, I apologize for the end less thread and be ranting and blabbing, its just I am truly nervous (which doesn't happen a lot) about high school because I am going to be there without my best friends, and the fact that it is a prestigious high school (AACT in the Medical field) doesn't help. I know this is a beauty site and that other random topics will be deleted, but if you are up to it and want to, advice about high school and your experiences would help me a lot:)

Thanks loves for reading and if you still are comment below "nothing hates you"

PS if you know where that is from, you are my spirit animal:)

Nothing hates you ;)
what's the weather like? honestly I'd just dress normally. orientation isn't anything special. I'm pretty sure you just sit in the auditorium & listen to people talk if I remember correctly.

as for high school advice, just be yourself. don't be shy, try new things (like clubs), & don't worry about what anyone thinks. I wasted my whole time in high school because I was so shy. if I had just been myself I would have had so many friends & just an altogether better high school experience. I look back & I'm just like why? why did I care so much what people thought? so don't waste your time like I did. have fun & be yourself. there's always going to be some negative Nancy's, but don't pay any attention to them. you're not there to impress them :)

To be completely honest, high school isn't as judgey as you may think and there aren't a "cool kids" group who ruin everyone's lives. No one cares what you look like to be totally honest and everyday attire is totally suitable. My advice (and I know this isn't what you're looking for, sorry) is to pick out something that you feel represents you, that will give people a first impression that's mostly true. For makeup, it honestly all depends on what you're into. I'm a freshman this year and I wear pretty heavy makeup, a full face and very dark lips. If you prefer light makeup, keep it natural. For hair, you can keep it down or depending on your length, do a messy bun, side braid, pigtail braid deals (I have no idea what it's called sorry), curl it, pony tail.

I also agree with riff. for the most part no one really gives a crap about what you wear or do. I went through a long stage of wearing men's sweatpants, hoodies, bedhead, & slippers lol. & no one said anything or cared because honestly other people dress like that too & it's just not a big deal.

I agree with Kat. & I kinda agree with Riff too, honestly, people are going to think what they want so I wouldn't even bother trying to impress anyone unless you plan on doing it every single day of your high school experience. Some days, I dressed up, some days I didn't and people still treated me the same as they always have. I wouldn't think about it too much either, nothing to really stress over.

Hi Jazzlyn baby! Good seeing you here for so long! I did not realize how young you were! High school! Wow lol.

Okay! So, honestly, you DO have something to wear! Go through your closet! I'm sure you have a favorite outfit. A skater dress sounds cute, and comfy (important), since you'll just be sitting there and probably getting a tour of the school. I don't remember orientation. You're working yourself up over nothing, though! High school is not a contest and frankly no one gives a flying hoot about what you're wearing (well some do, but they're idiots and shouldn't matter)!

Also, my advice would be to be yourself and HAVE FUN! (While focusing on your studies of course) also, one thing I regret, was not getting involved! Get involved in things you enjoy! (Clubs, sports, whatever); high school will be a breeze, and since you're normal friends won't be there, you'll easily make new ones (with the same interests as you!) don't take it too seriously. Just be yourself, really. That's all I can say. Don't hold back, because high school, (SHOULD) be a great four years of your life! Don't let others get to you, and do as you please :) good luckkkkk.

Yes! That's another thing! You're sitting on your behind 3/4 of the day, you might as well be comfortable! Not suffocating in tight clothes.

Orientation is super casual. No need to dress up AT ALL. Even at university we don't dress up for orientation.. I went in a tight skirt and singlet haha!
No one is worried about how you look and sadly enough we all had a point were we worried about how we look and how others perceived us. Now that I'm an adult, I can honestly say DO NOT WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK! I was so flippin worried all the time that I had panic attacks and now I wear everything and everything and I'm so confident and don't give a flip what people think.

Any who... Be yourself girl :) wear anything that you love and don't worry too much about people judging you,, because they don't matter.

Hi!! I'm just finishing my freshman year :) I'd say just wear something casual and cute like a pair or jeans, a flannel or cute T-shirt. honestly I wouldn't skip the orientation because going to it will help you so much!!
