You could wear a denim vest with it I think that would be cute but I would have to see it on. Or wear a jean shirt open with the white tank top under and roll the sleeves up. I think yellow would look good with it too

I agree yellow would be pretty, but even if you just did a simple white crop top or any white top I'd choose one that's fitted since the shorts look loose. You can always accessorize it so the white isn't so plain, even though I never see white as plain I love it lol. Gold chunky necklace or tier necklace, I got a cute gold anchor ring from aldo maybe something like that and a watch with strappy crystal sandals
