Try urban outfitters and American apparel - they tend to have grunge pieces in all year round x

Number one thing: don't get shirts of bands you don't listen to just to look grunge. If you listen to them go for it. Ripped jeans, combat boots, flannel shirts, baggy t shirts, smudged eyeliner and matte red lips are all you need.

Grunge is largely reflecting an attitude. I agree to never wear band tees of music you aren't a fan of. Grunge was about comfort ....minus all the glitter and glitz of the decade of decadence. Less is more. Nothing says "trying" more than leggings or jeans bought already ripped. Florals. paired with a solid, oversized sweaters and flannels..lots of black and worn denim. I'd watch the film "Singles" It captured grunge, which is often incorrectly used today, perfectly. Docs are timeless as are Chucks. Boyfriend jeans, long skirts, knee length dresses with tights..black shoes with buckles that were simple in design, chokers..and men's style hats...shorts with black tights.. Those were really popular.

The above pic is a great outfit. Definitely on point, but I'd mix in a worn piece. Check out your local thrift stores to mix in items with your new stuff.

Or if you think a band tee is cool - why not start listening to them!? I LOVE nirvana so if you are going to dress grunge I think you should pay homage to the creators of the genre - but that's just my opinion :)

I think Rozberry nailed it.

The others have pretty much nailed it, Rozberry especially, Personal I dislike when people TRY to be grunge for the style of it, I feel like it's a culture and attitude more or less.
