What are some good brushes for eyeshadow (brands and types)? I'm a bit of a newb, any recommendations would help!

My first eye brushes were ELF brushes and I still have and use 3 of them, the blending brush, the defining eye brush, and another one that I can't remember the name of at the moment. I also have the Real Techniques Starter Kit, which is a set of eye brushes, and they're amazing.

I like my Eco Tools brushes I got on a whim. They're pretty inexpensive. I also love It Cosmetic brushes at Ulta. They're slightly more expensive but are good quality.

Bh cosmetics brushes! I got a 10 piece face set for $12, and they're lovely quality, have had them for almost a year, and haven't shed or anything, even with frequent washing, also have an eye brush set by them that is also great quality for a very affordable price

I definitely would not recommend elf, I've only had horrible experiences. I would suggest real techniques or if you money isn't an issue I'd invest in a few Mac brushes. Brushes really make all the difference in applying and blending shadows effortlessly

If you create a hautelook account you can get awesome deals on name brand makeup and brushes. I just ordered a 10 piece set from morphe that is usually $50 and I got it for $14.
