I tried covering my acne marks yesterday and nothing worked they literally just came right through every layer of makeup I put on here is what I have to work with and what I used,
I used a primer yesterday I wore too faced hangover rx
nars radiant creamy concealer
benefit erase paste
I also wore MUFE hd foundation I even layered it
and MUFE hd powder
I used a beauty blender and it still showed ecery acne spot I currently have 4 spots what techniques do you use to cover these? I suppose I should look into a color correcting primer or concealer but right now I can't get one

When I don't have a color corrector or super thick concealer, I usually apply one layer of my face makeup and then take a heavier foundation I have or even the same one I first used, and dab it ONLY on the spot after the first layer has dried. It works for me

I exfoliate the area with a damp cloth and pile vaseline or moistureizer (not literally haha) to soften the area. after letting it set, I use primer and let it set before taking heavy concealor and I use a concealor brush. after letting the first layer set I add a second layer and I let that set as well. lastly I add foundation to give it a skin finish before powdering.

I do the same as Renay, I basically use my foundation as my concealer. I find I get better coverage with my foundation than a separate concealer.

Is it just acne scars or raised pimples? You cannot cover texture unfortunately all the available products can only hide discoloration - so are the marks more purple/brown or red? First it's best to color correct before applying concealer or foundation - so for purple/brown use a yellow/peach color corrector and for red use green - then layer a full coverage concealer over it (my fave is MUFE full cover or KVD cream concealer) and pat it on to the area you need it until it blends with the skin - then I blend the edges out with my finger - then set with a small amount of translucent powder - makes them invisible on camera but in person some of my really dark marks show a little but it's not super noticeable

Also concealer has more pigmented and concentrated color than foundation so you can achieve fuller coverage with less product.

Otherwise if you want to get rid of them more permanently or fade them instead of covering with makeup - invest in a vitamin c serum and good BHA exfoliant - I used Paula's choice products for both and faded my scars dramatically within 2 weeks.

Omg Brianna! I have the same damn problem/:. It has been irritating me bc I've tried all the methods the girls mentioned and it doesn't cut it, so I'm just looking to diminish them or make them disappear with Retina or something.
