The container the soap comes in if you noticed the stripped stand the soap sits on top of, well that is a wash board cleaner you run the soap on your sponge then you use the wash board to help clean the yuck's off the sponge :)

I don't think this is worth arguing over aha I say buy a bb because it's only 20 bucks, and you probably won't end up hating it.

The beauty blenders are the best I've bought repurchased them (after my dog ripped one apart) but I encourage you to try it
I use to use regular sponges and it was an ok way to apply my foundation but they beauty blender is much better it can last you along time (if you take care of it)
With the beauty blender I use less product so it saves me bucks! with foundation
The shape makes it easier to apply foundation the wide base for the forehead and check then the point for sensitive areas around the eyes
It's great to blend the makeup when contouring
I encourage you to try it you'll love it! Ps I'm not a advertiser and wasn't paid to write this its just my opinion and experience from purchasing the beauty blender- Hope this helps good luck!

Literally ditto what you first said, Lili. I was in total denial that the BB was worth the hype. I bought a dupe and loved it the first day, and hated it ever since. I finally broke down and bought the real thing, and I'm so glad I did. I hate to admit how much I love a $20 sponge, but it really is fantastic lol.

Sandra, I've seen a lot of people who use Revlon Colorstay whos sponges stain, I think it's the product. When I used that foundation and it stained I found that the color still got out enough that it didn't effect the sponge.

I was a critique didn't believe I needed a 20 dollar sponge and my mom got me one as a stocking stuffer... It is sooooooo different, it stays soft, it blends makeup FLAWLESSLY and it's easier to clean than the dupes.

It's a good sponge but I prefer my triangle disposable ones as I have sensitive skin and it's annoying to wash a sponge everyday when I can just throw one away and not worry about bacteria following me

I've got both the beauty blender and the real techniques sponge. I can honestly say that the beauty blender is much better. It applies much better, is much softer and you get better coverage out of it since it doesn't soak up all the product like the real techniques sponge.

I have a knockoff one and it's pretty useless as a foundation blender. It eats product and it doesn't bounce on your face at all. I got it at Target, and it wasn't even all that cheap (about $5 IIRC). I use it as a cleanup tool because it will clean up messes with eyeliner and the like. The original BB is on my wishlist... I just went on Target's website and they have a Kashuk sponge for $10.50 that is acrylic. The knockoff I got was latex. I wonder if that's the difference? I watched a couple comparison vids with the Kashuk blender vs. BB and everyone said the Kashuk one worked similarly and could give you the same finish if you have the technique down, but wasn't as soft and didn't expand as much when wet--just like Lili said. Sounds like the BB is easier to use and more comfortable on the face.

If your looking for a cheaper version for a beauty blender I would use a real techniques makeup sponge

They are definitely worth the price, beauty blenders blend anything on the face seemless & almost create an airbrushed effect however there are several other beauty blenders that aren't necessarily the "beauty blender" brand and cost a fraction of the price & work just as good.

I totally agree with Ariana G it's BS.

Yes! It's blends foundation into the skin leaving no lines also it gets blended into places where your brush might not have did!😊

In my opinion I'd suggest real technique brushes!!

I have used a BB before but I still just prefer the Real Techniques, its so much cheaper. The Real Tdchniques gives me a flawless look and so does the BB and thats all there is to it.

Honestly, people are always going to differ over this little sponge. I'd say to just try it, and go from there. If you hated it, then you know whether or not it was worth the price lol.

The BB is a lot better then anyother sponge. It's a huge difference. I definitely recommend it.
