I have a rather different style than other people, I live boston. And it always rains. I like wearing a loose black dress a oversized sweater sheer tights kneehighs and black vans :)

I think oversized scarves are super cute.
As Alejandra pointed out, oversized jumpers are great. Also ponchos - I saw them used as cardigans in some shops which looked really nice
Show wise probably Chelsea boots or timberland type of shoes.
Leggings and jeans are always a go to ;)

I like the look of plaid blanket scarfs! But if your short like me they could over power you, for winter I've been loving over sized knit sweaters, military esque jackets, leather jackets are a staple, and some ankle boots for sure. I'm in the US so I don't know many shops there but f21 always has decent priced trends:)

What shops have you tried? I adore topshop (but if I recall it correctly it's kinda expensive), Bershka, next and new look, maybe also urban outfitters (on the pricey side too), penny's or h&m.

Day dresses that can be paired with cardigans or jumpers wear with black tights then in spring pair them with neutral tights,also try plain black leggings they can be paired with both day dresses,oversized tops and jumpers,also try some basic vest tops or long sleeve tops with some skinny jeans,they can be paired with a chunky scarf or a blanket wrap and a waist belt.New look have nice day dresses for under £20 and h&m have nice cardigans,try Pinterest for some inspiration.
