I am considering purchasing this foundation but I would like to get some opinions from people who have tried it first. If you have tried it let me know if you did or did not like it and why. Thank you!!

I just couldn't get a decent color match. Its great for oily skin and its evident as one of the ingredients is alcohol. I tried it out for about a month even though the color wasn't right (had to darken it up with bronzer ). It was great for the first week and then I started noticing some minor acne. Nothing crazy but when I took a break my skin cleared up. Went and used it again...stopped after three days as I didn't want to deal with another crop of acne. The finish...beautiful but it couldn't compare to my Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation which was the one that started this fusion liquid foundation trend. Coverage was not full...more medium than anything. Did an ok job at diffusing appearance of my enlarged pores. As far as mimizing the oil situation as I'm a oily/combo gal...a light touch of setting powder in my t-zone did the trick but still needed to blot once a day. Definitely get a few shade samples first before going full-size.

I've tried numerous samples of this foundation. I can actually wear 3 shades (b10, b20, bd20)and they are perfect matches. Sadly this is the only good thing about it. First of all I hate the smell, it smells like vodka to me :/ the coverage is light to a low medium if that makes sense. I can't get full coverage out of it no matter how many layers I used. It doesn't last long on my oily skin, I got about five hours max before I noticed fading and it looked very patchy. I've used numerous primers with it but no luck. I just don't think its worth it in my opinion. But like Shelley said try lots of samples and see how you get on with it!

I was intrigued by its claims to stay put even with heat and humidity. I live in Texas and summers get pretty hot here.
Shelley, What is the Giorgio armani maestro like?

Gurrrrllll...I live in Northeast Florida. Humidity/heat central!! GA Maestro...for me survived two summers with me ( I just emptied it earlier this month). Over the course of the day it only looks better and better on my skin. Dries down to a powder finish and I only felt the need for powder under my eyes and few key spots in my t-zone region. Its super light and it felt like I had nothing on. Light coverage but it did a great job at evening out my skin and no oxidizing. It would be a repeat buy for me but I need to explore other brands/formula's so I'm going to hold off on a repurchase but its definitely worthy of your attention...at least compare it to YSL.
