Both are equally good in my opinion. I will say that Ulta has both drugstore and highend products. they also have a wider range of nail and hair products. Hope that helps

Personally I like Sephora better, but Ulta is probably better if you are looking for a whole range of products under one roof as well as hair products. I've never had a really good experience at Ulta but that doesn't mean there aren't stores out there that provide good service. Sadly I've just never experienced it at the store closest to me. I can't really say which has better deals, to me neither of them really have anything too spectacular, at least not when its convenient for me. I do like the beauty insider program, but also haven't shopped at Ulta enough to get many rewards from them since I always have such a bad experience there and go out of my way to avoid shopping there.

Sephora is more customer service oriented. The staff seem to specialize in different areas and they appear genuinely concerned with helping the customer find the right product. Ulta is great because it carries both high end and drugstore brands. Go there when you know exactly what it is you want, the salespeople do not seem as knowledgable...

it kinda depends if you want more high end or drugstore products. if you want a little bitt of both , i say ulta. sephoras kinda of a more high end store. but i like both so i say both.

I love the help that the employees give you in sephora! but I also love Ilya because its a mix of drugstore and higher end products, and all in one store

I love Sephora. Ulta carries mostly drug store brands that I could get cheaper at an actual drug store or Target. The employees aren't as knowledgeable as Sephora's. Sephora has a better rewards program and have better items that they put on sale daily. I ONLY go to Ulta to buy NYX eye shadows/pencils.
