Unless you live somewhere where it's hard to get drugstore products, I'd say Sephora. They are higher-end but they have a great website, great customer service, and great makeup artists. Their rewards system is also better: they give you insider deals, birthday gifts, and points that never expire; Ulta doesn't do any of these things. It you want good and cheap, read reviews and go to Target or Walgreens. If you want good and moderately priced, go to Sephora.

Sephora has a really nice rewards program. You can build points that get you free stuff after a while.

I like them both for different reasons. At Ulta you can do full scale shopping for the most part. Tons of products at different price ranges. They always have sales as well. Where as Sephora gets more promotional exclusive deals for certain brands. Pretty much they get the better put together value kits.

Sephora, because the workers seem to know exactly what they're doing! ULTA has the same products as Sephora, except they also carry drug store brands, which you can find cheaper at the actual drug stores themselves!

Sephora is great although I've never been into ulta I haven't heard the best about them ! Sephoras customer service is amazing, and their prices aren't too bad either. !

The only Sephora in my area is a tiny one inside a JC Penney, so I have to shop at Ulta or Target. While Ulta's drugstore stuff does tend to be more expensive, I find that if I use their coupons strategically then I can purchase more for about the same price as Target.

I like them both for different reasons but Ulta is closer to me and has better deals so I'm there a lot more.

I prefer ulta, because they have drugstore brands as well as high end brands. I find the prices to be more reasonable, and they have a lot of hair products.

Hmm I shop at ulta & sephora about the same amount. They're tied to me bc I like that ulta has a huge variety of drugstore hair, skin, and makeup products. (Even through they cost more there than Walmart) & I like sephora bc they have a wider range of high end things. So it's split for me !
