You should try a whitening stick. I've been using it for about 2 months or so and I've seen a huge difference.

Where do you get them?

Crest make my teeth hurt too! I use baking soda. It is so much more affordable than whitening products and it basically produces the same result. I just sprinkle it on my toothbrush and brush and brush my teeth. Also rinsing your mouth with hydrogen peroxide also helps! Both of these products cost less than $2!

Baking soda is the worst thing, it weakens and eats into your enamel.
There's these plate things which you put a gel into place them in your mouth for a certain amount of time, but I can't remember what they're called.

Baking soda is not the worst for your teeth.
Replacing toothpaste for baking soda probably isn't great but using baking soda on top of your toothpaste is fine.
It has actually been proven to help with more than just whiten but also brushing periodically with baking soda has been shown to neutralize acids in the mouth, which reduces the amount of acid-loving bacteria that cause cavities.
I've been doing it for a while and I get compliments on how bright and white my teeth are, even from my dental hygienist (who knows I am using baking soda)!
Than again Shanae, do your own research on this topic, don't just take our word for it! Lol :)!

Baking soda when scrubbed with a toothbrush is horrendous for teeth. It scrubs away the enamel. You're not only taking away stains, you're physically scrubbing away the layers on your teeth.
What you're talking about with neutralizing the acids in the mouth should only be done after surgery, or when something extremely acidic was consumed, using it when there is no presence of ph change it can actually cause cavities and infections due to the thrown off ph balance (think of your vagina, when soap that isn't ph balanced gets up there, a few days later it's likely you'll have a yeast infection). But it's not by using a toothbrush. It's by making a rinse and dissolving the baking soda in sterilized water, that way no enamel is scrubbed away.
My cousin is a dentist hygienist and I've read up on the topic in her old text books.
