So since I've joined Beautylish I've learned a lot. I learned that lemon and baking soda are pretty awful to use on your face and a lot of DIYs are dangerous. What have you guys learned?

WAYYYY TOO MUCH to type lol.

I think the biggest thing I've learned is the difference between a smokey eye and a gradient eye but I agree with Shanae, I've learned way too much to type out.

Jacquelyn (sorry for most likely spelling it incorrectly) is the bomb lol but seriously pick that woman's brain!!

I have learned...I have a problem. Lol.
No, but really, I have learned so, so much more than I had ever hoped to about products, ingredients, techniques and anything else you can imagine. I am so thrilled with the community here that I honestly don't even know what I did before BL. There is always something to learn, or share, or buy...I just...I feel like I've become sort of an encyclopedia since joining this community, and I'm constantly amazed that there's always more to learn!

That less is actually more and makeup is used to enhance not conceal.

I've learned a lot about doing brows, before this site I hated my brows and had no idea how to do them or products to use

Also, I've started contouring and playing with eye shadow and doing a full face of makeup instead of just mascara, foundation, and powder like I did before this site.

I've actually learned a ton about hair health :)

I have learned so much from BL I couldn't even begin to list all the things I have learnt. I always loved makeup but BL just fuelled my passion and now I am literally obsessed with makeup and with beauty.

Way too much to type. I've just noticed overall how much I've grown makeup wise and how much better my makeup looks. Also I've gotten so much new products from what people recommend. Beautylish is just amazing and I'm glad I found it, however many years ago.

Undertones omg I'm thanking the lord I took the time to download this app because good god I hate to imagine what I'd look like with funky undertones in foundation hahaha.

So much haha, the only thing I know about is nail polish and nail art. Not much about beauty products or hair. Everyone on here is so helpful, even to a young seventeen year old like myself. It is so helpful to have a group of people to ask who are experienced with makeup to ask about things instead of my peers. :)

I've definitely gained a lot of knowledge on here about different ingredients and what brands are known for their best brushes, pigments, or any other beauty product. When I'm running out of a certain item or just want new makeup, I always know what I should get because people post so many great suggestions and I like hearing from people here on beautylish than reading reviews just because I feel it's so much more personal. There's so much other things, from beauty hacks to dupes, there's just so much to write! I love beautylish so much, everyone is so helpful and so sweet!!

I Thank Beautylish for giving me the opportunity to meet such wonderful people who share common interest in Beauty. I've learned that myself and Jackie are not crazy lol we've enjoyed sharing our information from years in makeup as well as learning. We've establish a great friendship but not only friendship but like sister's and talk daily constantly and talk makeup like no other lol it was great to meet someone that shared the same insanity obsession for detail and talked the same language of artistry but she's more long winded of explanation and I'm short when it comes to explanation,we often joke about that, we think and say the same thing just explain it differently lol. I often look at everyone on here and noticed so much growth and appreciate such open minded people on here so many who just want to try out or improve and learn it's so exciting and wonderful to see. I've seen Hannah collection grow lol and establish a great friendship with her as well and kitty. I believe learning is a constant thing when trying to learn about makeup it will forever go on and on you never stop and if at any time you feel like you learned it all you won't progress and sit stale and continue to do the same thing so keep at it and always be open minded to do better and improve your skill. All of you have taught me to be more opened minded to more product's even if it's 99 cents it could be the best hidden treasure. I thank all of you and Beautylish for bringing the sparkle of glitter into my life ;)

Too too much to say! Besides learning how to properly apply makeup I've learned that women/girls can be amazingly supportive and helpful of each other. That we don't see a need to be caddy or jealous of other people's beauty but admiring and kind.

AMEN MARI lol. I've learned there's some good women in the world hahah.

What a great topic! I've learned technical things like how certain looks have certain names, and lots of great tips on skincare and haircare.
I also agree on the fact that girls can be nice to each other and not bring others down.
Personally, I've learned how to compliment people. I used to be very nervous about stopping someone on the streets and tell them how much I like their (insert anything), but commenting on BL has helped me to say out loud the nice things I'm thinking about someone else.
And I've learned how to thank people when they compliment me. I used to dismiss it, but I've realized that if I feel hurt because someone doesn't believe what I say, then it must be the same for most other people!
I have to say, I love you guys! (plus, I finally found someone to talk about beauty to. My friends and family were getting tired of it lol!)

Far too much to type but the number one thing that I learned from BL...that I need not follow every single trend (thinking of my crease cut eye look). While its fun to experiment and try new looks...at the end of the day I can still look glam with just mascara and lipstick.
