Hello :)
I recently turned 20 and was thinking about my skin care, which I'm happy with. But I realized it lacked a serum. Now I know there's different types of serums(anti-aging/wrinkle, hydration, retinol, pore minimizing etc) Now idky but I'm so hesitant to get into the anit-aging stuff, I think maybe because I don't know a lot about those products. I was wondering if you can help me by telling me what serum you use, why you use it, and why you started using it and maybe suggest some for me( I have dry, sensitive skin)
Thanks Xx

At your age, I'd use a Vitamin C serum with ascorbic acid to even skin tone and brighten your complexion. The best thing is a broad spectrum sunscreen...seriously.

Tami, I really love the Lumene caplets and Philosophy Turbo Boost powder, which can turn any of your own favorite creams or serums into C powah. Mario Badescu also has a good one! A light peel pad, like Bliss Incredipeel works beautifully for evening out tone and brightening through exfiliation. I cut the pads in half and they last twice as long.

I use a vitamin c serum by Paula's choice - and I really like it but I use it more as a spot treatment for my acne scars - and it's a little strange to use since it comes in a dropper type of bottle but the serum is not like a thick serum - it's a very lightweight serum that absorbs into the skin quickly - which I do like as well.

I'm 24 and I'm using Olay Regenerist Regenerating serum...it's very lightweight, moisturizing, and makes my skin baby smooth. I'm on my 3rd bottle (I use it day and night) and I can definitely see a difference in the appearance of my laugh lines & lines on my forehead. I like to use the fragrance free one 😊

@Malia what do you use the serum for?

They feel so silky and have ascorbic acid, which many C products don't; a stable form of C that's highly effective. Be sure to test patch any new C product.

@sheerise it depends on how much you use. I have combo oily skin and I use three drops AND a night cream because I just love moisture. If you want to keep it light maybe two drops or just one.
