Hey!
I'm going to the beach this weekend and I don't know if I should wear a bikini or a one piece bathing suit. I'm a bit unconfident about my body cause I've gained +20kg in a year. I'm a size 12 (UK)/42 (EUR) now, and I'm quite short (1m58)... I'm chubby and I have large hips. What would you girls wear? How can I look good on the beach? Do you think wearing a bikini is a good idea, and if yes, which kind? Thanks in advance ❤️

ANYONE can wear a bikini ANYONE. Society puts so much pressure on the whole who should wear a bikini and who shouldn't. Wear whatever makes you comfortable and what you feel comfortable in. Atm I really like the strapless bikinis with high waisted bottoms and I like triangle ones. Whatever you choose, be confident and you do you boo 💜

I think it's all about what you feel comfortable in, no one can really decide that but you! Whatever you decided to wear, it will look stunning on you and you are beautiful, I always think the higher waisted bottoms look very flattering, I'll find a picture!

Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in! Believe me, confidence is always the most beautiful thing! If you are going to wear a bikini then go for boy-shorts or hipster bottoms. Side tabs are extremely flattering!! Stay away from stringy bottoms and strappy sides on the bottoms because that can emphasize extra skin. Also, solid colors on bottom and a patterned top will draw attention away from your hips and thighs and more toward your face and too half. You can also try monokinis, which reveal just enough skin while still keeping you feeling covered.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in! But if you're itching to wear a bikini, do it! If you think anyone is looking at you and judging you, trust me it's all in your head! I'm a size 16 (US) and I rock the bikini! Try getting a bathing suit that suits your body, like I have big hips and thighs, so I get the boy shorts that scrunch up on the sides, then I have a wide rib cage and a small bust, so I go for the padded strapless tops, and I make sure to stay away from sting bikinis, for I don't think that they enhance my body. Then before you leave, just look at your self in the mirror and tell yourself you're beautiful. And if it helps, you can even apply a little bit of bronzer to your stomach to slim it down. But if all else fails, just get a really cute coverup (I like wearing button downs) so you'll feel really good on the boardwalk! :) I hope I helped! And have fun at the beach!!

I'm a UK 10/12, 165cm and my measurements (b/w/h in inches) are 38/30/37. I'd go for it, seriously no one will judge you. I rock a bikini all the time, you can always put a pair of highwaisted shorts over the top (8 pounds in Primark at the moment!) if you feel uncomfortable or shove an oversized tshirt or flannel (tis what I do) on if you feel uncomfortable

If you want to wear a bikini, wear one! :) I'm a bit uncomfortable showing my tummy so I wear one like what Emily posted, and if you don't feel okay showing your stomach but want to wear a bikini, they're super cute and comfortable :)

Like all the other ladies said, wear whatever you're most comfortable in! I personally prefer bikinis unless it's a one piece that has cut outs, but I don't like being very covered up at the beach especially since I'm usually there to tan. If you're uncomfortable with your body, I'd suggest a fun cover up. I like the sheer tunics or the sarong bottoms which will cover up a little bit of the butt & thigh area! Just do you girl!
