So I'm going to go back to school shopping in a few hours, and I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions for closet essentials. For example some people say they can't live without a black crop top because you can wear it with so many things or they have to have high waisted shorts etc.

My essentials are -

Skinny jeans (black, dark blue, light blue)
Highwaisted denim shorts
Vest tops and flowy camis in a variety of colours
Black boots (I love my Docs, can't live without them)
Tan boots
Trainers (I love Skechers and Puma Suedes)
Heels in a couple of colours (I have black, dark red, coral and silver sparkles)
Black leggings
Sun dresses (H&M ones are the best)
Skater dresses
Bodycon dress
Black skirt

An assortment of different jackets or sweaters in bright patterns.
A shoe from every style....sandals, sneakers , boots, wedge. Obviously the specifics would be up to you. Such as for me the sandals would be some sort of 'guarache'? and the boots would either be demonias or cowboy boots.

Chelsea boots! A good flat pair will last you a long time. They look brilliant paired with dresses, jeans, skirts, anything, and can be dressed up or down. Definitely my staple boot.
