Start with a smaller heel. if you go to big to fast you have the chance of breaking your ankle. Also invest in good insoles for your heels. And wear them for at least a month to break them in before you actually need to wear them.

Pace and balance for sure. I usually go slower down hills and focus more on balance. I go fast up hills. It's way easier than it looks lol

I agree with Hayley
I had a family reunion last time and I wore heels on hill.
If youre tired and found a flat ground, try to stick your heels inside the ground slowly, not the hard ground of course :)

Bend your knees so it kind of looks like your squatting , one foot infront of the other and take it very slow, that's what I do. I know it might look silly but it's much better than falling on your face lol
