I read an article that there are lipsticks containing lead. However, I can't find the article. Is this true? If so which lipsticks? Thanks!

Here is some reading I suggest that explains the issue pretty well:

The FDA also has good publications of what they consider safe levels of lead (because honestly lead is everywhere - in our water supply, in the paints we use for various applications, certain pigments require it to get that red color) so as long as you are using products well below the FDA regulated amount then you will be fine and safe from lead poisoning - there was a post earlier that talked about this and kitty provided a great link to the FDA regulations in lipstick specifically as well as their threshold for a safe amount - just search for lipsticks without lead in the talk section.

Diana is right---there is lead in our water. Minute amounts aren't dangerous.

Thanks unfortunately I am on my phone. So with that being said it is not exactly super easy for me to search topics. Therefore, I thought I would ask. But, when I get to my work computer I will :) thanks!

I search topics on my phone all the time (but maybe the app looks different for android?) here is a screenshot of what the talk section looks like on iPhone - in that grey search bar just search for the topic you want and hit enter and it will come up :)

Search in the android app is functionally useless. It dredges up topics from years ago that are completely unrelated to what you are searching for, or topics with zero replies, or just crashes the app entirely. You can load the desktop version of the website in your mobile browser and search that way, but it is such a hassle that it is no wonder nobody can be bothered.

This would be the thread Diana is referring to http://www.beautylish.com/t/icrugm/lipstick-with-no-lead.
