Hi Ladies
I'm looking to invest in some new hair products today but have no idea what to get.
I have very long hair and it's not coloured but suffer with split ends and breakage. I currently use ogx coconut shampoo and conditioner. I try not to use heated appliances often and clean my hair once a week.
I'm so confused about what to buy. I've been avoiding sulphates for over a year but could consider a range with sulphate in considering I don't wash my hair often hahaha. I am also considering using pure oils. Does anyone have any suggestions and advice on how to use oils?
Thanks x

You can try argan oil (the ogx line has a nice one) and just put it in wet hair right after you wash it but avoid your roots - it sounds like you are doing everything right in terms of not washing too often and not using too much heat - but you may want to consider getting it cut every month to get rid of your dead ends - unfortunately once the ends split your only option is to chop them off because there is no bringing back the dead (so to speak) nothing you use can repair them (no matter what the product marketing says) so get a 1-2 inch trim every month until you notice the split ends are all gone and follow up with a deep conditioning treatment either at the salon or use a weekly hair mask - you could also remember to use heat protectant spray any time you do use heat to prevent damage as well.

I second tge Argan Oil, but I also love Organi Virgin Cold Pressed Coconut Oil and,Macadamia Nut Mask. Refined oils or heating oil removes so many beneficial properties so I never heat them or buy them unless they are cold pressed. A Wet Brush and leave in spray also help.
Hannah just posted a killer list of suggestions for hydrating hair. Let me see if I can find it.

Aww Rozberry, you're the sweetest!
I'll also add that I'm digging the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day styling cream, it's awesome and I've just been putting it into my hair when it's damp from the shower and it controls frizz like whoa =)

Thanks ladies! I'm going to have a look when I go shopping. I definitely need a trim more regularly. Although I must confess. I sit there for hours sometimes hunting down split ends and trimming them off. My bf hates it so I guess I will be seeing my hairdresser more often
