I don't wear khaki too often so I'm a bit stuck.

I'm wearing this dress to go out tonight and I was thinking about a red lip (more burgundy than pillar box) but is that going to clash? I'm not too sure.

What do you ladies think? What sort of look would you go for?

Oops, forgot to add the picture :P.

I'm going to belt the dress and wear heels so it will look slightly more dressy than the girl in the picture.

I would definitely go for a bronze eye with some metallic liner or something and maybe a nude or red lip? but definitely a bronze eye.

Something golden or metallic  (:

I agree that a bronze golden eye would look fabulous with this dress! I don't think a burgundy would clash, I personally wouldn't do a true red lipstick.. do you have a picture or swatch of the shade you're thinking of using?

Thanks ladies. I decided against the red lip (Sarah, I was thinking an OCC liptar in Vintage, though in hindsight mac's DarkSide may have worked better) I put it on and held it against the dress, it was a bit too much.

I agree with you guys on a bronzey eye. I actually own Mac's sumptuous olive (more of a greeney gold than a true olive) so maybe that would work as a nice base shade?

I know this isn't an exact match of your dress color, but it is a great lip shade that wouldn't wash you out and is sexy for summer rather than a nude lip.

Maybe a dark purple lip? Or a nude, either would probably look good!

I agree, I think you made the right decision to not go with Vintage. Dark side would look good though, and I agree with Rozberry I like a fuchsia as well, and Mac sumptuous olive will be really pretty as a base shade! Post the entire look when you're done! I'm excited!
