So, I'm 5'1, fairly petite... But my boobs are about 32DD, 34D. When I buy a swimsuit, I usually need a Medium for the bottoms, but a Large, XL, or sometimes bigger, in my trial and error experiences.
I recently got one I was really excited about, but when I saw a picture of me in it, I thought it looked borderline inappropriate, with how small it looks, in my opinion.
Can anyone point me in a helpful direction? Stores, websites, shopping tricks, I'll take anything.
One more thing: I can't justify spending a hundred dollars on just underwear that are acceptable to wear in public. So the catch is it has to be somewhere <$25 per piece.
Please and thank you for any advice!

I'm the same way. I needed up buying bottoms from old navy but a top from VS :( the regular triangle tops from like target make my boobs look so saggy!! Plus it's just not supportive and they barely fit. I ended up buying cheap bottoms for like 11 and 50 dollar top :( so worth it in my opinion.

That's so helpful. Was it difficult finding matches though?

You can try swim suits for all. Their website has a variety of top sizes for bigger women so they should fit. You can also try lingerie stores. Plenty have swimwear that bustier women can fit into. Online there are lots of places but finding things in person is pretty tough.
I'm 5'4" and 34GG so I totally understand the struggle.

And for anyone wondering why an adult woman doesn't have this figured out yet, I recently lost some weight. It's a new body to me, one that I feel comfortable to show off in a bathing suit now. I'm learning as I go.

I'm only a C, but I feel the same way about swimsuit tops. I'm petite everywhere else and it's hard to find something appropriate. Last week, I had to buy all new swimsuits because I grew out of everything I owned. My bottoms literally turned into thongs and my boobs were hanging out. I went to Victoria's Secret because they had a 30% off sale. I'm pretty sure it's still going on now. I bought solid black pieces as my base and I'm filling in my swim wardrobe with colorful tops and bottoms that I can mix and match with. I think one set cost me around $40.
I love Old Navy and Target bathing suits as well, but since it's late in the season I found it hard to find pieces in my size.

Not at all! I bought a black top from Victoria secret and patterned bottoms from old navy. Total is was like $60 which isn't much more than what you'd want to spend :)

Megan, I checked out swimsuits for all once, and it didn't seem to work out for me. As I remember, they were kind of expensive, and the bottoms were still too big :/ You think I should do like Julie and buy separates?

I'm so glad there's other women like you guys that get it. Thank you all so much for you advice 💚

Yeah. I do separates. It's not too hard to find bottoms that would match. And I find that if you want something that looks good, is actually supportive, and fits for bustier women you usually have to pay quite a bit. :/

I'm an adult woman and I have the same problem lol. I usually end up wearing a tank top swimming.

Wow I feel your pain. it's ridiculous to me how they assume a big top is always accompanied by a big bottom. I actually (which makes people laugh) trade tops with my sister. she has small boobs and a big butt and I'm the opposite. Maybe you can find them separately?

I agree with Megan swimsuits4-all is great for big chest girls (like me) and they have nice underwire tops in every style and their one pieces are really affordable and they have clearance stuff all the time - love them.
