Not sure where you live, but when my daughter needed dresses, she liked to hit the one-off stores in the mall and avoid the chains...she had a better chance of finding something more unique, that way! We've also ordered from therosedress website before. Good luck - let us know what you select! :-)

Kat's idea is good! Also check bridal shops. They usually have extra bridesmaids dresses that someone ordered the cancelled or is leftover from last season. They aren't all super fancy. A bunch of my friends and almost all of my family did that. Nobody paid more than 100-300$. So if you have a mall with a few bridal dress shops definitely check them.

Me personally, I love going to thrift shops and I plan on getting mine when I do go homecoming dress shopping. however, if the idea makes you uncomfortable (some people really hate thrift shopping) Sears, Ross, JCPenny, and maybe even Macy's has dresses under hundred, and I believe Sears is having a sale (at least it is where I live) hth:)
